That will not make league relevant again. League has always been a cosmopolitan sport with players coming from around the world. Last year the super league had two French teams. There's idiots on here who want the 18th licence to be awarded to a PNG consortium. The plan is for the team to base itself out of Cairns and play all of their games in Port Moresby. It'll only appeal to Papuans and struggle to attract talent from outside of PNG. It's the dumbest concept ever devised.

There were people pushing for the South Pacific Cyclones to be based out of New Zealand a couple of years ago. Matty Johns was one of them. It would be a Polynesian team.

When I suggested the game expand into new territories like Singapore I was derided by narrow-minded simpletons.

The takeaway from the responses is the NSWRL fans on here think the game should only be accessible to Anglo-Australians from Sydney and Melanesians from a third world country who cannot support a team of its own. They don't even want the game to expand into Perth.
