A four year preparation is right in line with a western reds style expansion, this was how they formed back in '95, a long lead in time to get a roster together, and set up in place, trouble is as soon as they tender bids and announce intentions, the AFL will start messing with them or add in there own 3rd team there...
But they just gotta do it, rip the band aid off, announce the return of the Reds, Rams, and bring in the Bulls (Nz2) start now, let the game drop in standard for a few seasons then watch it boom when the players move around like they did this season...

He aint no chairmen or coach...
Need to be someone with influence and an ACTUAL stake in the game

I thought it was some random fan poll. Perth red was connected to some potential Perth bid but that fell apart or failed.
Throughout last decade Perth was frontrunner in these polls but bris2 was the only one looked at when it came time to expand lol

f**k the fumbleballs third team, they can shove it up their jacksey, the games are so different there`ll be plenty of room for a Western Australian Rugby League team.

Well yeah bronco monopoly gets boring, having an outside city rival, makes them relevant again, think parra V penrith of the golden west, same thing will happen in SEQ... lets face it the titans arent QLD enough for the 2 headed cane toads, to care about them versus brisbane... dolphins are a real rival, 75 years in the region, as old as bennett, who is the bronx inagural coach, now theirs.. it a recipe for drama, and PVL knows drama sells, tongues wagg, Rugba lieg is a winner baby

It's just one of those responses that ppl give when they don't really care or they have no interest. Like ppl in Sydney saying swans are their favorite afl team when asked despite never watching.
I actually follow geelong, coz atleast they aren't from the city of f**kwitz

We've repeatedly been told that junior numbers are strong in WA but why is their junior rep competition dwindling in teams this year?

What comp do you mean?
we are now fighting a losing battle against union again after having a few years of clear space. Twiggy is investing over $1mill a year of his own money into jnr union.
at the same time nrlwa has had its funding cut and we’ve had to abandon the sg ball program.
sigh.

The Roosters development of Central Coast talent has been next to non existent, I can’t recall any players who have come through their system in the 10 years they have been up here.
The Roosters will always prefer to buy to best available talent than nurture it themselves.
Players like Nicho Hynes, the Saifiti Brothers, Connor Watson, Bradman Best, Scotty Drinkwater all came through the Central Coast juniors but no local Central Coast product has emerged from the Roosters since the Roosters nested on the Central Coast.
I’ve noticed a lot of Central
Coast juniors have left the Roosters in S.G.Ball and especially Jersey Flegg for the Bulldogs and Parramatta for an opportunity, if anything the Roosters seem to be cutting back as they once had two teams in S.G.Ball now they only have one.
The Roosters NRLW and Tarsha Gale squads have a good representation of Central Coast talent.
I thought the Butcher’s came from the Central Coast?

See this release. Dwindling down in some regions is what I see?

Not sure what going on at Roosters and Sharks that there isnt an U19's Southern metro rep team there? They have traditionally been two of the biggest clubs. We do seem to have a drop off around that age group at moment which I suspect will only be magnified by no SG ball and Union now snaffling up the best 16&17 year RL players.

Build it and they will come. It will be like the 90s explosion in Perth on steroids.
Be good to see!

For those who dont know we went from 10k registered players in the early 90's to less than 1k by 2000, and we are back up to over 4k now. If we could get that up to 6-8k in a decade that would be a great rebirth for the game here. Needs a well run NRL club and much better funding for NRLWA to do it.
