If we can only get 1% of Newtown hipsters to play rugby league and then move to Perth...
Adding another hm, sg ball and flegg side to nsw comps gives more opportunities for kids across nsw. The idea that jnrs only come from a 20km radius of your club is so outdated.

Singo has had zero meeting with the arl but he wrote a letter to them

yeh that’s going to count for a lot when the bears have been holding meetings with the arlc

cummings can make all the empty threats he wants

“WA officials have also held talks with North Sydney Bears, the preferred partner for the NRL and their broadcast partners given their return would ignite a supporter base that has laid dormant since they were kicked out of the competition.”

Singo is a well known tightwad. But that's also how the rich stay rich.

And here is the crux of it....

A WA consortium, led by Cash Converters executive chairman Peter Cumins, remains committed to a stand-alone bid. But Cumins has confirmed he will meet with potential suitors North Sydney Bears and Newtown Jets in Sydney next week “to talk about a possible marriage” before putting forward an official bid.

“We are going to consider all options,” Cumins told The West Australian. “We want to give both those clubs an opportunity to put a compelling case to us that they would bring to the table something that we can’t put together ourselves.

Commings hasn’t met with the arlc bears have

as I said before it’s up to a Perth bid to demonstrate why they should be stand alone when the arlc is convinced the bears should be involved

and the article also say broadcasters want the bears

something I’ve said many many times

V'landys typically seems to get what he wants.

Hopefully he can bully the Bears into not playing any home games in NSW.

Just organise like six away games a year in Sydney and a Membership revolving around that.
That’s it. Away clashes in Sydney, Maybe an annual Good Friday match against the roosters @Sfs, A couple of away games at central coast.

Annual manly/Brookvale match. The only game NSO should get is a trial match.

Watched NRL360 from last night and geez what a change in tone and attitude from Billy Moore! Has it finally dawned on the Bears they arent the shoe in they thought they were? Vlandys did them no favours talking them up and making them believe they would be a guaranteed perth partner.

If theyd started out the way Billy was talking last night they might already be signed up for a partnership with the Perth bid.

Forget reading between the lines. What is known for certain?! Vlandys wants bears, while jets also having talks.
