MELBOURNE, Feb 22 AAP - Shane Warne was found guilty of a drugs charge by an Australian Cricket Board anti-doping committee today and suspended for 12 months.

The 12-month ban starts on February 10 and rules Warne out of the World Cup and upcoming Test series against the West Indies, Bangladesh, Zimbabwe, India and Sri Lanka.

Warne has seven days to decide whether to appeal the finding and the verdict.

I'm a little surprised but thinking about it, this season is done with now and a six month suspension wouldnt have seen him miss any domestic cricket.
He'll be back for the tail end of next season.

With Warne now gone do you think it will be Hauritz or Macgill (or someone else).

Also, how much difference would one diuretic make to someone's appearance? I haven't got a clue. Enough to make him look better for the cameras because if not, it makes me think that excuse (as bas as it was) was nothing more than crap.

Oh well, we might have to wait another year to see how he screws up next. He looks like he ran out of chances.
