They're both playing too many minutes to be effective when it matters late in a game.

Perhaps one of the reasons we've never gone on with the job in the second half against quality opponents.
We scored two tries in the last 15 minutes against both the Storm and the Panthers. But if you're complaining we didn't blow top teams away after getting an early lead, that's why they're top teams. There's no need to impose a narrative.

What flavour of shit are you trying to peddle this time?

If a player misses a tackle, they missed their tackle - their part of/role in the team's overall defensive duties - and obviously would be accountable for continuous improvements in their role.
Oh you're changing your story now? I agree with this new story of yours. Of course players should try not to miss tackles, and try to improve their tackling ability in the future.

As poor as Waqa was last night, I think it would be unfair on both him and a Sean Russell to make that change. Waqa was ordinary last night for sure, but would you really throw Russell in to a sudden death game when he hasn't played top grade since March? Unfair on both players IMO. Simonsson? Yeah maybe... Flip a coin....

Also - not sure if it was commented last night, but something that stood out to me like dogs nuts during the minute's silence for the queen last night was Nathan Brown standing there with no arm around his teammate either side....spoke volumes to me, looks like he feels like a man who isn't part of this outfit anymore....
I noticed that about Nathan Brown as well. Seemed very strange to me.

Look at the sorts of players who make their NRL debuts at the Storm and Chooks. None of them are kids from Bondi or Melbourne.
Didn’t Radley, Smith and Egan and Nat Butcher make their debuts with the Roosters and are all from the Eastern suburbs?

Earlier in the year against both those teams 3 interchange forwards were used, with the least minutes played by the third interchange forwards 15 minutes against the Panthers, and against the Storm it was 26 minutes.

Nathan Brown was part of both playing long minutes (66 and 55) and the third interchange forward isn't really being used when it matters.

There needs to be more minutes from a third interchange forward. Nathan Brown seems like the ideal candidate.

What story exactly did I change? The one you tried to put into my mouth to suit your Gumpist posting agendas 😀.

Nothing has changed from the stated facts - Arthur missed a tackle, and the tackle he missed happen to lead to a try. Though you've been busy trying to come up with a story to seemingly argue (for the sake of arguing?) that there was nothing at all wrong with him missing a tackle, and that individual responsibility for missing a tackle is not something that should be focussed on if a try might be scored as a result?

Exactly. Every player misses tackles. If they lead to tries or line breaks that doesn't make them any more of a missed tackle than one that is cleaned up by team mates.
