@Aliceinwonderland Hopefully these trips down memory lane in some way help us fight of the onset of Dementia.
My lowest memory during that dark period was being flogged at home in the pissing rain by Canberra. I think it was the game that ended Royce's first grade coaching career.
Oh yes I remember and recall. Having Purtell on the wing. Going down on the supporter bus to Canberra, passing snow to be flogged by 70 odd. Then having to come back home.
A game at Newcastle where Penrith hadn't scored a try for 2 whole games. Being so excited when they finally bumbled their way over the line.
Today's Penrith team is like a dream come true.
Also the reason why I NEVER believe we will win by 50. They're the Johnny come latelys who do that. They don't have the horrible muscle memory of those losses.
I believe that no win is ever easy.
The Warriors will be hard work on Saturday. Webster to some extent knows where the bodies are buried and how the systems work too.
This means the Penrith brains trust will have to come up with new ideas. Quite nervous in fact about the game. Penrith will have to be brilliant.
