call them bandwagoners, "Johnny come lately's" or whatever, fact remains that Wentworthville would never knock back extra support from anyone nor should they, I think albeit, with all the success on the field, they would probably prefer to expand from the usual dozen or so that would see them play at Ringrose every second week. The club have almost completed the first of a 5 year deal with a third year option at Wenty's favour, so heading to their second season it's important for Wenty to make it work ie: attract more sponsorship and more patrons to their licensed club after game day and making the grand final where it will be telecast FTA is a great start, win or lose imo.
having said all that, the onus now should be for the NSWRL to try and negotiate a FTA deal with the ABC to play 1 feature game a week with maybe highlights of another game, the sooner they make moves on that, the sooner the ABC realise that the benefits will far out weigh the benefits in telecasting a nuffy rugby comp which no moffo without a leather patch is interested in.
