Before they and union got sht they were getting 25k crowds. Next question.
RL is a better entertainment/sport than RU, so it would have a better chance of success than the Force and other RU fixtures there. What do they get now after seasons of losing?!
Yeah, biggest audiences for sport are Barty & before that Cathy freeman. Who would've thought women representing Australia in global event would capture public's interest?!
Womens afl popular in southern states. Nrlw popular in north..

Tigers averaged 9k this year in rugby league heartland Campbelltown. Wollongong wouldn't have been much betternot many, how many did Tigers or Dragons get at the weekend?

Obviously no network in Australia thought so otherwise they would have bid more for it, captain hindsight. That’s the point.
There weren’t these competitions ten years ago and not many people would have predicted that there would have been these competitions in place and been as popular as they have been ten years ago.
Seriously, this is new levels of stupid trying to argue that women’s sport hasn’t become more popular in recent times
In that case you should probably supply evidence of how many came from the east coast before making such a claim.

stop debating with a plank, you'll only make yourself feel dumber.Would that be the media release that provides no numbers of people travelling interstate for the game, estimation or otherwise? As I suspected, making an unsubstantiated claim as always.

Reality is there was probably around a max 5-10k fans who travelled over from East coast for it. There was 35-40k west coast RL fans at the game. Pirates only need to convert 50% of them to an active fanbase to be profitable. We got this.

True. He is getting more and more unhinged though which is slightly funny.
Apparently, his other point is that women’s sport hasn’t become more popular. Interesting.
Not too badly. Enough to have professional competitions and have them shown/broadcast live.
You can dodge and weave as much as you want because you don’t want to admit that you’re wrong. Nevertheless the fact remains we didn’t have these competitions a decade ago and there is a reason for them: there is a market for them.
