No, it shows Aussies get behind our athletes at important global events.

The highest drawing women's sport here in netball is going bust. Rest are propped by men's leagues. Hardly say any are sustainable or successful ATM..

No that evidence was showing that interest was increasing.

On the second point, I actually agree. But that’s going to be the case for a little while longer yet as they are coming from a very low base in support.

Agreed, most definitely, its playing in WA, your gonna get 3/4 or more being way over on the otherside of the country, but seriously to put an actual number on it is just lying
We were refuting Pippens BS that half the crowd were from the east coast. Reality is it was most likely in the 3-4k interstate visitor range. Thats 40k ish RL fans in the West that bought tickets. A very positive base on which to build a new club.

U figures aren't hard fact (lack of hardness is probably reoccurring theme for you).
6k attended last stand alone game in Perth. All of a sudden interest in nrl in perth has increased huh?! TV ratings don't show it.

Well NRL in Perth may be like women's sport; need a backer to keep them up & running

They are based on a stated figure from the people who would know for the first event. There is no reason to believe that 3000 interstate visitors jumped massively for the same event run 5 years later. especially given cost of living problems many people are having at the moment.

40k active West coast RL fans. More than enough to build an NRL club on. Bring it on Vlandys.

But yeh lets also ignore the 100k plus who tune in for origin and GF on Ch9 shall we? Youre getting very good at this cherry picking thing

40k WA fans last week willing to buy a ticket to an NRL game, we got this.

I think a Perth team would average 20k or so for the first year then once the novelty wears off it will drop to around the NRL average until they can get an upgrade at HBF park. Has the potential to be 20k long term after that. No reason why not, only 2 AFL clubs to compete with compared to 9 in Melbourne.

My house is 20km from cbd, on the beach, walk to marina with bars and restaurants, 4x2 on 600sqm for less than $1.5mill. couldn’t get a similar location 2 bedroom box in Sydney for that lol. Just another reason perth is such a brilliant place to live.
most of the east coast is expensive

newcstle is 750k for a 2 bed in the city

cheap housing and less traffic sure could help attract players

Yeh I looked to move to Wollongong but when I saw what sht $1.2mill bought I was like no way!

players who came out in the 90’s all said what a good place to live it was. For players you’re not in the Sydney goldfish bowl, can go down the beach with family without hassle, live in a mcmansion on the beach for less than $2mill and enjoy the sunniest city in Oz. It will be appealing to many players, especially the pacificas who tend to like the quieter life. Should also be easy to attract English and French players to our lifestyle here, and we have some decent English pubs for the poms not to feel homesick lol

Players with young families will factor that in hugely quality of life
