Piggy back Roast, roast beef with pork wrapped around the top complete with crackling, bought from Woolworths, originally $52 but reduced to $4.62 to clear out, delicious along with roast pumpkin, potato , sweet potato and parsnip with peas and gravy , yum . Piggyback roast so much better than a turducken.

Just had a delicious start to the day out on our balcony: Georgian shoti bread, crumbly mountain cheese, sunflower oil with ajika (spicy peppers), and some fresh grapefruit.

The wife and I tried a new French-Georgian fusion restaurant tonight with mixed results.

The Good

  • Ham, sulguni cheese, and plum kachapuri
  • Beef bourguignon kinkhali
  • Trout on a bed of pureed cauliflower
The Meh

  • Mozarella kinkhali
  • Mushroom and cognac kinkhali
The Bad
  • Mackerel kinkhali
  • Escargot kinkhali
It was all decent enough, but man - the bloat is real.

Chicken wings and cheese burger from Churchills at the fish market. Chickens wings are good but the cheese burger wins hands down.

Pearl Perch, one of Australias premier eating fish.
Before that Balmain Bugs and school prawns. Interesting the subtle taste difference between Balmain Bugs and Moreton Bay Bugs, the Balmain bug is slightly more savoury than the Moreton bay bugs, the Morerton Bay ones a touch sweeter, still bloody delicious though.

Macleay River oysters. Italian rissoles on the bbq with spring onion , zuchhini, asparagus, potato, tomato. The Rissoles were great but it always great when the vegetables on the BBQ can at least match or even out shine the meat.
