Another issue with the RLWC is the cheer amount of dud coaches floating around international teams.
Dead set most of them wouldn't get a run above NSW Cup, if that.

Lol at one fellow calling France woeful. France are always a threat, particularly in the NH. Kiwi's always struggle against them.
So outside of a WC there are no other teams in the world apart from Australia, New Zealand, France and England? The Kangaroo tour should be brought back.
RLWC should learn not to play at football stadiums. A pitch that is 95m in length is asinine. Surely they could hire out league grounds to use.
International footy should be on a 4-year cycle. Say, for example sakes, that 2017 features the World Cup (well, it does). Then in 2018 you have Australia vs NZ in a best of 3 series (like origin). In 2019 you do a Kangaroos tour to England. In 2020 you do another Australia/NZ best of 3, with 2021 being another world cup. England can host France biannually in a best of 3 series, and the Kangaroo tour can alternate with an English tour of Australia on a quadannual cycle.
Yes, it'd increase the workload of players, but international sport should be the pinnacle of our game (it is for every other sport). Pay them a substantial salary to participate on selection (200k minimum) and I'm sure they won't be complaining. Run the tours/cups etc in October/November.
There are but they aren't as highly ranked.
Ideally I'd like to see a European championship with developing nations, such as Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Italy etc; A Pacific Islands championship; even an Americas championship. I'm not sure how the game is in Africa outside of the South African side, but sure, add in an African championship as well.
If you build it, they will come.
I still think the problem is the NRL clubs.
They are insular and can't see the benefits a properly run international calendar.
A properly run international calendar would not only bring prestige to Rugby League their would be financial benefits for all levels of the game.
A very good example here is union here in Australia. Without a properly run international calendar union in Australia would have been dead years ago
One thing we can learn, that the host country is not shafted before the semis.
oh how flipping sweet the Poms are kaput.Tv ratings and ad deals will take a hit.
