What can the RLWC learn from the 2015 RUWC?

Another issue with the RLWC is the cheer amount of dud coaches floating around international teams.

Dead set most of them wouldn't get a run above NSW Cup, if that.

Build the international game. Kangaroos decide not too tour end of season could you imagine the all blacks doing that? Also ireland vs romania got a crowd of 90,000. Thats the nrl grand final crowd.

The RLIF have to learn that international RL doesn't revolve around the Kangaroos. In fact I'd rather watch lesser nations play more often in empty stadiums than the Kangaroos/Kiwis and I bet I am not alone.

The Kangaroo tour should be brought back.

RLWC should learn not to play at football stadiums. A pitch that is 95m in length is asinine. Surely they could hire out league grounds to use.

International footy should be on a 4-year cycle. Say, for example sakes, that 2017 features the World Cup (well, it does). Then in 2018 you have Australia vs NZ in a best of 3 series (like origin). In 2019 you do a Kangaroos tour to England. In 2020 you do another Australia/NZ best of 3, with 2021 being another world cup. England can host France biannually in a best of 3 series, and the Kangaroo tour can alternate with an English tour of Australia on a quadannual cycle.

Yes, it'd increase the workload of players, but international sport should be the pinnacle of our game (it is for every other sport). Pay them a substantial salary to participate on selection (200k minimum) and I'm sure they won't be complaining. Run the tours/cups etc in October/November.

I want a global socialist state, with just one currency, no countries, no national anthems therefore, no war dances before interstate matches. Fine have a Kangaroos team instead of playing as NSW and Queensland.

But get rid of the inter"national" RL WC please, and replace it with a club WC, every 4 years.

Fine have a 3 match Test Series between the Kiwis and the 'Roos; and Aus. touring Britain and playing a match versus the Catalonia Dragons. Have a new nickname for the British team, maybe the Cavaliers?

The main thing the RLWC can learn from the union mob is persistence.20 years ago NZ scored 145 against Japan. In 2000 Australia scored 110 against Russia,we called it a farce and international RL went into sleep mode.I feel like international RL is just waking up from its slumber after a great 2013 WC but with no Anzac tests in the future and the Roos reluctance to play its in danger of going the wrong way.

I still think the problem is the NRL clubs.
They are insular and can't see the benefits a properly run international calendar.
A properly run international calendar would not only bring prestige to Rugby League their would be financial benefits for all levels of the game.
A very good example here is union here in Australia. Without a properly run international calendar union in Australia would have been dead years ago

So outside of a WC there are no other teams in the world apart from Australia, New Zealand, France and England?

There are but they aren't as highly ranked.

Ideally I'd like to see a European championship with developing nations, such as Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Italy etc; A Pacific Islands championship; even an Americas championship. I'm not sure how the game is in Africa outside of the South African side, but sure, add in an African championship as well.

If you build it, they will come.

One thing we can learn, that the host country is not shafted before the semis.
oh how flipping sweet the Poms are kaput.Tv ratings and ad deals will take a hit.

Could I be so nasty as to suggest karma, because they hooked Slammin Sam from the NRL and Sam is let us say stranded on an Island.

A 9's World Cup would be a great springboard. Countries like Samoa and Tonga could very likely beat Australia in the 9's format.

.

Ratings will be down in England, and unaffected anywhere else. That is a hit to the local broadcaster, but the IRB has already banked its share of the revenues - which will not be affected.
