Because of the injury to Jarryd's friend Reggie Bush (who was the first person to recommend publicly Jarryd for NFL), it looks like Jarryd will get a lot of time as a running back.

After the fumble his running performance has been OK but not sensational.

Jarryd had one embarrassing blunder on his first touch. But he did not crumble and did OK for the remainder of the game.

If Reggie Bush is out injured next week then Jarryd may well get another start as running back. In that instance, and he may also get another shot at Special Teams as kick/punt returner, he may start to develop his skills. It will probably take at least a whole season to get used to the game sufficiently to show his full potential. The main thing is for him to be picked to play in subsequent weeks. If the coach is wise he will continue to pick him.
