Saw Sherlock Holmes and loved it.

Saw The soloist on the plane home...and that was a great movie.

Same, thought Sherlock Holmes was brilliant. Loved every minute.

The missus saw The Soloist today and said it was definitely worth a look so I'll probably give it a go tomorrow.

Alas I have only just recovered from watching maybe a third of some piece of sh*tty irony called Funny People before I just had to turn it off.

Funny People? Hmmmmmmmm...:?

Yeah very meh. It gets a bit better when Eric Bana's character shows up...but yeah i was dissapointed with that movie.

I re-watched 300 and fight club yesterday ...got em both on blu-ray.

lol I'll have to believe you when you say that Eric Bana was in it, I never made it that far. I was never a big Adam Sandler fan, now I just hate the guy and wish bad things would happen to him.

District 9. Can someone please tell me why this film was getting good reviews? It was terrible and bordered on ridiculous at times.

Watched The Obama Deception the other day. Tight doco.

Also watched Bomb The System (film about graffitti), that was excellent IMHO.

Finally got around to seeing District 9. I really liked it. Hard to explain why exactly. Pretty unique story line and all very well done. Got to love the South African accent.

i read that book at high school.

how does Chris Moltisante do as the cop?

The detective? Does alright i guess. He doesnt really play a huge role. I mean he does...but he is only really on screen for about 10 minutes altogether...but when he is they do try to make it seem as though he has been very close to the family (maybe his role was more important in the book?).

Possible spoilers below:

"susan sarandons character (grand mother) was crap i thought. The way she acts when she is asked to come over and help her daughter (the mother) deal with the lose just seemed silly and so unrealistic. The actor that played the killer did a great job...came across as a typical serial killer type. The young girl that plays Susie did a great job too. over-all a really great flick. only part i didnt really agree with...was the whole religion side of it. The fact that she goes to limbo and then to "heaven". But am glad they didnt mention "god" or anything like that...."]susan sarandons character (grand mother) was crap i thought.
