frozen, the ski lift one.

Spoiler

makes sense the most annoying character who bitches and whinges and makes the situation worse and does nothing else is the lone survivor

Watched the new Robocop last night.

Wasn't as bad as I expected. I thought it did a decent job of showing us how loved ones would react to a man being made into a machine.

The story was a bit lacking.

I liked it for a rethink of the older versions.

Bad Neighbours

Really enjoyed it. Thought it was very funny.

The whole cast did a great job acting IMO. Well worth it.

Bad Neighbours - very funny. Dave Franco is following in his brothers footsteps while Efron is slowly growing on me as a comedic actor

Divergent - Lump of shit

Chef - Great movie. Good cameo by Robert Downie Jnr. Loved this movie

Caught a few flicks during my recent travels.

Transcendence - 3/10

Steaming pile of shit. A good concept buried beneath poor story-telling and the absence of a single engaging or likeable character. You had Morgan Freemon, Colm Feore, and Cilian Murphy all essentially playing the same guy, while Paul Bettany is left trying to explain away the movie's plot holes. Oh, and the girl from House of Cards being a manipulative bitch - something she's cornered the market on.

The premise had so much promise, but it's lost in poor characterisation and too great a focus on visuals. The ending is a kick in the guts.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier - 7.5/10

Right behind The Avengers and Iron Man when it comes to recent comic book movies. It had all of the requisite action set pieces, but had some great suspenseful spy style story-telling as well as some much needed development for the characters of the Cap, Black Widow, and even Nick Fury.

Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa - 6.5/10

Not being familiar with the TV series that inspired the character, I went into this blind and found it to be quite charming. It's rarely laugh out loud hilarious, but it is consistently amusing.

12 Years a Slave - 7/10

My viewing was doubtlessly affected by the fact it had been edited for a flight, but I was a tad underwhelmed. It was certainly compelling to consider the scenario and everybody involved acted wonderfully, but I never felt particularly engaged by it.

Wes Anderson should get more attention and credit. Continuously writes the most clever scripts and his films always use innovative shots and editing. A very cleverly written film.

Slither - 7/10
Just fun. Clearly not meant to be taken seriously.

The Pelican Brief - It's where Julia Roberts and Denzel Washington looked really young. Also had that cheesey 80s-type thriller music in it even though it was made in 1993.

Thanks for that. I might have got it confused with the other pelican brief movies out there.

Jack Ryan - Shadow Recruit. Faithful to Jack Ryan's origins with the Marine Helicopter crash and Kevin Costner did not suck, thankfully but Keira Knightley has a bad American Accent. 8/10

Clutching at straws? Seriously, it's like you're trying to dissect whatever I say and try to somehow put a negative spin on it, purposely trying to be an asshole.

I did not know such awesomness existed

Did you check it out? I was really young when I saw it maybe 12 or so and I loved it perhaps not as enjoyable as it was numerous years later but the shower scene will always be imbedded into my mind.

I also think it's a million times better than all the tripe that's released these days really not a movie goer nowdays seems to be all about special effects rather than a decenet plot but hey maybe that's just me.

Run Ronnie Run, a 2002 spin off of Mr Show with David Cross.

It was exactly as I expected, and it was a delightful romp. Especially the Jack Black cameo as the lead chimney sweep.
