Bit late here, but just saw Shutter Island for the first time. I enjoyed it, despite not usually being a huge fan of those types of twists. I think I'll be able to appreciate its structure and composition more on the second viewing.

Universal Soldier Regeneration - surprisingly pretty decent. Van Damme is back...

I watched "Buddha Collapsed In Embarrassment" tonight on SBS Two. It was fantastic, but it really made you think.

Plot revolves a 5-year old girl who is left in charge of her baby sibling while her mum goes to work. Her neighbour, roughly her age, suggests that she go to school - but she has no equipment.

The series of events that takes place just so this poor girl can go to school is really sad. Nothing really terrible happens to her, but to see just how much trouble she went to just to go to school...It was almost heart-breaking.

The little girl who played the lead was gorgeous, though. Such a cute little thing.

But yeah - I recommend it if you want a quick look at how life in Afghanistan has developed since 2001.

Bitch Slap- straight to DVD release. Basically a homage to 70s exploitation flicks.

Crazy Heart- really liked it but WTF is with Colin Farrell's turn as the Keith Urban wannabe?

Watched it ages ago & as long as you take it for what it is I found it enjoyable. Won't ever get an academy mention but a great B-Grade cheesey flick!

Alice In Wonderland - It looked good like anything Burton does, that was about the only positive.

Inception - only fault is that it was probably 15 min too long, otherwise really enjoyed it.
Harry Brown - dark, dark and depressing. Very well made but there was no let up at all.

The other guys - Farrell at his best and Marky Mark gets some decent laughs too.

The expendibles - As mentioned above, action for actions sake. The Arnie/Sly exchange was enjoyable.

Glad somebody else watched Harry Brown, that was a very good film.

Did you not like the ending for Inception?
