Watched Shawshank Redemption for the first time last week.

I now understand why it got the accolades it did.

It Follows 6/10 - nice try at capturing the 80's horror vibe but just fell flat at the end.

The Guest 7/10 - Loved the movie but the third act went in a completely different direction that I just couldn't get into as much as the first two thirds.

Pitch Perfect - 6.5/10

Enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Probably my background in musical theatre speaking.

looking through the collection last night, ended up watching a movie that i absolutely loved back in the day, and it still holds up well now.

Greedy starring Michael J. Fox, Phil Hartman, Olivia D'A bo (stupid word filter!) and Kirk Douglas who trolls the absolute f**k out of everyone from the get go.

The last scene where he gets up out of his wheelchair and walks out of the room kills me every time, and Fox sells it to perfection

Train wreck. ...train wreck

Yep, it's a very average movie.

I can understand the praise it is getting, though. To say that reasonably funny female comedian wrote a shit movie would be suicide for a critic. Amy schumer is in the untouchable club, which was founded by Lena Dunham
