What Movies Have You Seen III

looking through the collection last night, ended up watching a movie that i absolutely loved back in the day, and it still holds up well now.

Greedy starring Michael J. Fox, Phil Hartman, Olivia D'A bo (stupid word filter!) and Kirk Douglas who trolls the absolute f**k out of everyone from the get go.

The last scene where he gets up out of his wheelchair and walks out of the room kills me every time, and Fox sells it to perfection

I actually had to google that the other night to remember the name of it. Had the ending of it in my head for some reason but all I remembered was it had Fox and Kirk Douglas.
Good movie back inter day, have to watch it again.

God you have the absolute worst taste in movies

Agreed.

Steven Seagal is the very poor man's version of Marlon Brando.

At least Brando could act. Seagal was a wanabee thug who, as the same as Brando, turned into a wallowing fat useless walrus.

Brando won an Academy Award for Best Actor in 1972 with The Godfather, and was runner up another five times.

Steven Who??

You're comparing 2 actors who are a generation apart?

Ant Man.

Glad they let Paul Rudd be Paul Rudd, underlying motivations for the villain are pretty thin and near the end pretty much lifted the McConaughey in a black hole bit from Interstellar.

Saw it for free in Gold Class and overall enjoyed it.

And the actor from the older generation is the better one!

And why can't you compare actors from different generations?
Brando would still be better than a lot of actors these days, while Day-Lewis would give anyone from previous generations a run for their money.

Your post makes no sense.

You could always compare Segal to someone from his own generation.
And even then he would still suck ass!

He would be one of the worst actors to ever have a major film career.

i will admit i do enjoy his earlier stuff like nico and the like, which are perfect for late-night-watching-tv-in-bed-viewing but pretty much everything he has done after under siege has been a debacle

my missus cannot stand clint eastwood (as an actor) because he's "too wooden", well what the f**k do you call seagal?

Mission Impossible Rogue Nation. These movies get better and better. Some great action scenes in this one, love the car/motorcycle chase. The story is a little drawn out towards the end though.

You don't like Seagal. You're wrong, but fine - OK.

But a wannabe? Dude in his prime could have kicked the shit out of anyone blindfolded.

He was a legitimate badass.

I honestly can't think of one movie he is in that I would consider 'good'.
Worth a watch for unintentional comedic value, sure..but not 'good'.
His least worst would be Under Siege I guess.

Being an expert martial artist doesn't make you a good actor.
Look at Bruce Lee - arguably the greatest martial artist of all time - terrible actor.

In all seriousness, though - I do like Seagal, and think he has more charisma than he's given credit for, but his movies aren't great.

I do enjoy watching him kick people's arses in "Hard To Kill", though.
