Mission Impossible Rogue Nation. These movies get better and better. Some great action scenes in this one, love the car/motorcycle chase. The story is a little drawn out towards the end though.
8/10

I still think the first one's the best.
Felt like a real spy movie, unlike the others which are just big action movies featuring spies.
I did like 3 and 4 though. 2 sucked hard.
Am yet to see the 5th.

Being an expert martial artist doesn't make you a good actor.
Look at Bruce Lee - arguably the greatest martial artist of all time - terrible actor.

So people keep telling me...

Did you know Seagal was the first non-Japanese man to open his own aikido dojo in Japan?

You don't like Seagal. You're wrong, but fine - OK.

But a wannabe? Dude in his prime could have kicked the shit out of anyone blindfolded.

He was a legitimate badass.

I have it on good authority that some of those blindfolded people were wheelchair bound as well.

Stevie the hero....:p

Can't post a link at the moment but read something earlier about seagal getting choked out by some 50-odd year old guy on the set of one of his movies - to the point of losing consciousness and shitting himself lol

Um...I meant...Lies! You lie! *runs off in tears*

Oh, wait - are you taking about the Gene Lebell incident?

Yeah...that was pretty bad.

But then, Lebell was a completely legitimate badass - I'm pretty sure he could choke anyone out!

Then again, Undertaker reportedly choked out Kurt Angle on a plane, and Chris Jericho floored Goldberg with one punch, so I guess it's all happening.

Sphere - 7/10 and a touch underrated. It's a good thinking sci-fi movie
Lone Survivor - 8/10, really enjoyed it even though some of the hits they take are exaggerated. Still not bad by hollywood war movie standards.
Evolution 7/10 - Although I remember this being much funnier back in my teens. Maybe I've grown up lol, but still worth a few chuckles.

The Fountain, got started but parked it for another day. Too random and wasn't in the right frame of mind.

Watched Event Horizon again the other day. I quite like that movie.

Just on Seagal. Marked for Death was great. Some funny fight scenes just like Hard to Kill. I didn't mind Executive Decision either. Didn't play a major part but was still a good popcorn flick IMO.

I remember reading about Lone Survivor and they filmmakers said they had to tone down some of the stuff that happened in real life because they were afraid people wouldn't believe it.
From my recollection, the Wahlberg character lost the ability to walk during the fight and had to crawl most of the way. They left that out.

Yeah true I read about that too, I was referring to things like taking massive tumbles down a rocky hill and copping several bullets but carrying on. That said I've seen much worse.

Lone survivor is a fantastic movie.

The falling down the rocky hill part is also fairly accurate from what I have read.

After watching the movie I went on to read the citations for the awards all the men received.. Worth a read.
