Godzilla... 7/10

Did some things brilliantly and others spectacularly bad.

Being minimal with the creature and building it up was a smart move.
Biggest problem is somebody stopped writing a script after a crucial spot
Brian Cranston's character died
Not a shred of good dialogue or character development after that.

Saw Terminator Genysis last week. Was entertaining without reaching any real highlights. Didnd't realise there was a post credit scene which sets up a sequel either.

vvvrulz, Courtney was ok at best. The character didn't give him a lot to work with to be honest.

Cheers, feedback ranges from average to atrocious.

Sometimes actors get a raw deal with badly written characters (Hayden - Anakin the classic example), but then you should expect them to bring *something* to the table. Tom Cruise for example is always right in it 100% even if the movie and script sucks.

Chappie.

Was expecting something atrocious considering the reviews from both critics and regular moviegoers.
I actually enjoyed it. It wasn't without its flaws, but it's definitely not a bad movie.
It was the same with Elysium. I don't get all the Neil Blomkamp hate.

Also those two movies have some of the best visual effects I've ever seen.

Terminator Genysis. I thought it was ok. Hard to see thes new actors as characters I have so ingrained in my brain. Turned the timeline on its head. Decent action and a few laughs. 6.5/10.

Jurassic World

It was exactly what I went in looking for. It had Chris Pratt being awesome, Bryce Dallas Howard's heaving bosom, and dinosaurs beating the shit out of one another. Perfectly acceptable popcorn fare.

7/10

Inception

Rewatched it for the first time since seeing it at the cinema. Holds up quite well, and I enjoyed watching it looking for hints that even the film's 'reality' may well have been a dream. Love the soundtrack.

8/10

Side Effects

Paint by numbers evil woman pulls off scam style thriller. Rooney Mara is hot as balls, and there's some lesbian action between her and Catherine Zeta-Jones. Not as interesting second time around, for sure.

5.5/10

TBH, I've never heard of her.

Pluses - A firebox, riveting eyes, cute ears (a must for me), nice smile.

Minuses - From the several hundred images I've seen of her, never seen her from the chest down. Does she have a lard gut, droopy arse or weird legs? Meanwhile, about her tits, damn f**king pancakes. :(

Can't be much going for her unless she matches your beard.

She's cute enough, but nothing special.
The best she's ever looked was in Jurassic World. I'm thinking they must have padded her bra.

Also, this thread may be the only time I've ever seen Rooney Mara referred to as "hot as balls".
Her sister is way hotter!

Same, I enjoyed Elysium a lot but everybody seemed to slam it
