They did remake scorched earth... It's called worms. The 2D 8 bit game was awesome though, remake was laughably bad.

Loving the suggestions for games that already exist  Imo they should make some sort of new Super Mario Bros.

Sorry. Poor choice of words. What I meant is that it get's upgraded graphics but keeping the things that made it great like storyline and interesting characters.

Wish that it would happen so I can play the whole series on PS3 console since I got the original game and an exp. pack but it was buggy as heck and I could not play it on my laptop.

Also, Alley-cat but with with the simple game mechanics but maybe more mini games and updated graphics.

My bad as well, what I meant was a big no to making it real time action. Everything else is fine as long as it is with the AD&D2 rules and I can pause during battle.

If you're having bug problems you should be able to find a patch on their website it still works sweet for me.

Most of all would be Streets of Rage followed by Enduro Racer and R-Type. Also Desert/Jungle/Urban Strike.

Games like Mortal Kombat, Golden Axe and Altered Beast have already been remade recently.

So far this year, we've seen Sonic and Mortal Kombat given huge old for new remakes. What other games would you like to see be remade in NExt Gen style?

Here are my top three....

1. Road Rash

The Sega Mega Drive version was bad ass. It's game play and replay value was very good. The PC versions gameplay was shithouse though and was really only good for the soundtrack.

I could imagine a 2012 version to have insane graphics and excellent online multiplayer mode.
Road Rash was still awesome on PC. I freaken loved that game.
