What old 90's games would you like to see remade?

So preferring a console to PC is a shit attitude? That's news to me.
Arbitrarily deciding you don't "need" something because you have an inferior implementation is a shit attitude. It's a fanboy attitude.

I suppose you don't need a DVD player, all the best movies are on the VHS you have lounging under your fishbowl CRT screen, yes?

This isn't a PC versus console thing, i'm just stating that you can have an exact, or even enhanced experience of almost all classic console games on the PC. I'm all for playing the latest consoles, i love my consoles, but everything back in time beyond the current generation consoles can all be served from the one box, a PC.

Gamers need to stick to together and stand up for each other because we're all getting used, abused and ripped.

PC and console gamers, let's hug.

Yeah, true. Down with crappy cut and paste gameplay and in with more innovative and exciting gameplay!
Bring the best games out on all platforms, and take advantage of current technology.

Games made in the 90's were innovative and that's been largely killed in the chase for a quick dollar.

You're quite right, I don't need a DVD player, I have a Blu Ray player hooked up to a 3D TV.

I blame the millions of people who continue to buy the newest Call of Duty despite the fact it's basically just an expansion pack.

Call of Duty has nothing to do with the problem you're just being ignorant and probably never played the series before.

At least Activision and Blizzard listen to the fans to a degree - the entire Zombies "storyline" has been fan made since Der Riese and they are essentialy using fan ideas.

Companies like Crapcom are the real problem.

Not to mention DRM, online passes, on disc DLC, day one patches through laziness etc...

Current technology - they talk about making a PS4 or whatever they want to call it and no game they have ever made even remotely comes close to utilising the current technology of the PS3 so why are we being hit with a new system soon?

Churn 'em out, collect the $.

The PS2 was the last great system. Games had problems but on the level of current gen. I can't speak on the original Xbox though since I never had it.

I played through the campaign of the first Modern Warfare and then got bored with the multiplayer after about 2 hours, I haven't bought a single Call of Duty since that.

So you've played 2 hours of one game out of something like 8 or 9 which came out about 5 years ago and yet you know that each game is an expansion pack?

I smell bullshit.

You probably don't even know that since CoD 2 or 3 the actual developers alternate each year.

I'm well aware of the fact that Activision and Treyarch alternate when developing Call of Duty.

And it's since Call of Duty 3 that they started to alternate.

PC's have always had superior RPG's and adventure games.

Big call...especially when you follow it up with "Meh i don't care about Zelda".

Anyways, for me, when it comes down to the main reason i prefer consoles...I simply can't be arsed with PC gaming. I have limited time and it seems like more effort.

Also, emulators ftw. f**ked if im gonna pay for games I already own/are a thousand years old anyway on virtual console on Wii/3DS when emulators offer a better service for free... But I am pretty proud of my retro Nintendo collection.

It also depends on what RPG genres you're talking about.

Western RPGs and MMORPGs work best on PCs from experience. But the best collection of JRPGs are on consoles and handhelds.

Super Metroid, but I guess that was sort of remade with Other M (even though the gayed it up a fair bit).

Chrono Trigger, although I saw a remake was in the works for it and it looked shit, not sure if it went ahead.

Wave Race 64, now that would be epic.

Most of the games I'd love to see get a modern/current gen makeover are from the 16bit era. Early games like Pac Man, Donkey Kong, are classics the way they are and don't really translate well to modern update IMO.
But the ones that immediately come to mind are Road Rash (first and foremost, that's screaming for a modern makeover), Streets of rage, Desert Strike...maybe even early C64 games like Last Ninja would scrub up well for a modern look.
Perhaps some early PS1 games like Destruction Derby.
