The Eels have been sh*t this year thanks to their appalling lack of direction and the two years where they have been consistent have choked in the past decade, so a 50 point thrashing by the warriors next round will be a fitting summation of Cayless's reign as captain and a fitting farewell. I hope the few thousand that do go enjoy this symbolism.
Post Season Update:
As I said, Cayless was a great player in a team that couldn't give a f**k. If you thought they would turn up today against the Warriors for Cayless when they couldn't against the Rabbitohs for a finals spot in Cayless's last season you were kidding yourself.
The Eels need direction, end of story.
A miserable end for a miserable time at Parramatta for Cayless. If you want to feel sorry for him, feel sorry for the fact that he was a leader of such a sh*t team. One of my favorites of all time and will be missed, but the facts are there even for the most one eyed Eels fan...
I tell it like it is. The last two weeks are no different. Inconsistent dribble WAS the symbolic benchmark of Cayless's final match in a disappointing decade at the Eels.
