Pretty douchey to sign a guy to a 3 year deal then tell him not even 1 season in, after most clubs have done their signings for the year that he should look around.

Wayne Scurrah.

Allwood, 21, who has signed a three-year deal to join the Warriors from 2015, would only describe his mysterious departure as ''personal''.

But it is understood Allwood's exit from the club was alcohol-related and came shortly after the Round 20 match against the Rabbitohs, when heiss failed to show up for the final training session on the day before the July 28 match at Canberra Stadium.

Allwood, who started in the first nine NRL games of the season in his rookie year, was dropped after announcing his deal with the New Zealand team in May and played only two more games for the season despite telling the Warriors he would see the year out.

Outgoing Warriors chief executive Wayne Scurrah said yesterday he was made aware of the incident only after Allwood had been signed to a three-year deal.

He was, however, comfortable the club would not have further issues with Allwood.

A pro to the end, our man Wayne.
So Scurrah all to blame? No blame to the ex Canberra coach who watched him come through the system and therefore likely had a hand in whether we picked him up or not?

There's enough Cappy white knights around here for him to form his own Knights Templar. ;-)

Haha no, not all to blame. And I don't rate Cappy (yet anyway) so the last sentence doesn't relate to me. I just think Scurrah was a shit CEO whose LinkedIn page will forever look decent because of Ivan and his marketing background.

Bear in mind Scurrah was the guy who said 'well we might've finished 9th but there were sides below us who did even worse', was it not? Or was that Bell?

People seem to be forgetting we are only 2 points off the 8 (albeit with a well worse F/A record)

Win this weekend (as unlikely I know it seems) but then we are well in the hunt for the 8th spot.

This game is crucial.

We will probably lose against the Cowboys

Dogs and Tigers after that which are both winnable games (and I go back to, if we play like we have the past few weeks, we got no chance)

Lose this weekend and then our season is well and truly dead in the water.

Hey, someone has to bring an optimistic view - no? Wheres the door?

You know how sometimes you are watching a game and you are only 4 points behind (or maybe 4 points ahead), but you know that you're shot and the other team is going to win.

That's us.

We won't make the 8 if we can't score points. And we can't score points.

Rumours of Tim Lafai being shopped around by the Bulldogs - if we lose Konny surely Lafai's the man to replace him. 2015 hasn't been Lafai's best year by any means, but he is a quality player (and a solid defender).

Absolutely right. In 215 minutes since SJ went off, we've scored 20 points.

We can't say we're going to win any of our last 4 because how the hell are we going to score any points? Our dominant half is gone, our biggest metre-eating forward is gone and our biggest metre-eating back is gone.

Honestly, we could get dicked every week.

well this season is well and truly over with no more wins expected, although there is a faint chance against Penrith. I have been thinking about next season and the 2016 line up. I feel it goes like this without injuries. Front row Matulino, Luke ,Lilyman. Second row Hoffman, Thompson ,Mannering. Halves Johnson and Leulaai. Fullback Sheck, Wing Manu and after this it gets weird, I guess the other wing is out of Lolohea/Fusituua/Wright which is ok but a little undrwhelming but compared to centre sweet. Ok, centre? Kata? Hurrell?? Lolohea?? Ben Henry?? Mannering???, this is obviously the weak point of the roster. It would be great if they had the coin etc to sign a real good centre to shore this up. I guess SKD and Matai are the most likely to want to come/get cut by their Sydney clubs. I guess what I am trying to say is unless the warriors sign a dangerous centre i would prefer to see Mannering and Henry there with Hurrel (if he's around and Kata subbing on for offensive impact

Sam Perrett needs a sit down with Uncle Doyle if he still hasn't signed for 2016

I wouldn't chase an expensive winger tbh, Wright is relatively inoffensive until one of the youngsters proves they can handle it

Centre and 5/8 worry me much more.

Hurrell and Kata are promising, but for whatever reason McFadden can't seem to handle Hurrell (or vice versa), and while Kata is promising he has shown everyone except McFadden apparently that he's not really a first grade centre yet - defensively they are both liabilities - I'd be happier with Mannering on one edge as Bodine has some issues too - but Kata and Hurrell need to get with the system and work with their back rowers, and wings (certainly Manu and Maumolo are part of the problem too). I kind of hope they just play Tui consistently as a centre, and he develops to a 5/8 in 2017

But mainly 5/8 is the problem next year - I am struggling to see TL as the answer there - but if that 's the way they go, so be it - might not be any money left, TL for me is a bit like Wright - seldom will let you down, but seldom will do too much wrong - so to be fair, I should like him more, as I always argue we need consistency... wow, in a post I'd changed my mind, TL at 6 it is

1. RTS
2. Wright
3. Tui
4. Hurrell/Kata/Allwood
5. Vatuvei
6. TL
7. Johnson - injury or not he simply cannot start the season slow - we need pts on the board
8. Lillyman
9. Luke
10 Matulino
11. Mannering (on edge)
12. Hoffman
13. Thompson - if he can't play in middle then Lisone

14. Lisone/ centre forward
15 Vete
16. RFM
17. Half/hooker

I can definitely see them playing TL at 6 in round one. I know Tui's been playing behind a beaten pack but he's shown zero structure required to be an NRL half, he's playing a young man's game. I'd much rather have the understated solidarity of TL around a spine of RTS, Luke and SJ. I can see Tui trying to overplay his hand at the wrong times to our detriment, at least at this stage in his career. Completely agree he'd be best to be given the centre role.

McFadden has to earn his stripes with Hurrell, Kata and also Fusi. Good coaches would make players out of those guys, with the possible exception of Konrad given I don't know how he trains/ticks. Fusi in particular, he's a hell of an athlete. Huge guy, with a massive leap and a real ability to score tries. He needs to be in our side, talent like that doesn't crop up every day. Same with Maumalo, he's the next Manu. Massive kid who looks to me like he has a decent attitude.

I'd like to see 1. RTS 2. Maumalo 3. Fusi/Tui 4. Hurrell/Kata 5. Manu 6. TL 7. SJ 8. Lillyman 9. Luke 10. Matulino 11. Hoffman 12. Thompson 13. Mannering 14. Lisone 15. Vete 16. RFN 17. Tui if not selected or Sigley etc

Rest is up to you Mr McFadden that's a top 4 side if injuries don't happen.
