Where will SBW rank among the game's best ever second rowers?

Yeah those errors all came in the last 15 min. He lost the plot ... mostly out of frustration I suspect. But his metres gained, tackles and off loading (for the first 65 min lol) was excellent. Especially in a team with barely 40% possession and no field position.

I wouldn't say he 'lost the plot' more that it was noticeable he was trying to create something for the kiwi's when no one else was

What's that? Roosters Player of the Year and World Player of the Year to go with an instant Premiership in his first season back?

Yeah. If only things had gone better for him!

You don't get the point i'm trying to make.

I'm pondering if SBW did stay in League whether he'd be the same player he is today, getting those awards and being vital in the Roosters' premiership.

As soon as a Souths supporter mentions SBW you jump into it making a complaint, just like you fantasise about jumping on SBW's c*ck if you'd get the chance

SBW went missing last night?? :?

Could've sworn he had more runs than any other Kiwi player and that's not taking into account the number of times he got into first or second receiver and tried to ball-play because the halves were having a snooze.

In his own words he over-played his hand as he was desperately trying to make something happen.

Went missing and doesn't play 80 minutes :?

the paper this morning said 17 carries for 140m. with 5 offloads too (the convicts could only manage 6 between their entire team). But he was surrounded by no-hopers (even Eddie Paea would have been better than Johnson and Foran), so lets suggest he's hopeless

plenty of kiwis were calling this side one of the strongest ever. sbw went missing for a player with all the hype surrounding him. i didnt even notice him in the first half and only noticed him in the 2nd half cos of all the mistakes he was making. but all the sbw knob gobblers will still claim he was bets on ground like the gf....

Also made 29 tackles I think I heard. His involvement was high, just not as effective as usual, probably because of the opposition.

Probably because the Roos made 23 tackle breaks (Thurston made 5 alone) which means offloads are pretty much redundant

You forgot the try assist too.

 $BW.

This thread should be titled;

" Where will SBW rank among the game's most overrated players ?"

Correct answer - "Very highly".

Foran tried hard but Johnson was the one who was MIA.

Stop talking sense.

He wasn't MotM, thus he went missing.

$BW pretty much played his usual game. Keep off loading and hope one comes good. They are massive gambles and can put his team under all sorts of pressure, when one comes good and they score everyone forgets the previous six that were ineffective or turned the ball over. This time none came good and he looked poor, the fact the NZ props were equally ineffective showed up that he isn't good enough to carry a pack forward. Give me Burgess any day of week.

Offloads - ffs. 34-2 f*ckwits
Geez those offloads were really effective.

Face it - the guy is just a one trick pony with a fast fading trick.

.......the number of times he got into first or second receiver......
Ball hog. He's not playing f*cking under 6's. Playing out of position - what a gimp. There is nothing more frustrating for a half or pivot than a lumbering boneheaded forward getting in the way. As Warren Ryan says, it's a tuba in the string section.
