Collis was injured most of last year yeah? Couldn't goal kick etc? He hasn't looked right since early last year. He's got class written all over him though.

Ellis is the sorta dude you just chuck in anywhere. Went from basically playing half at Wakey to being a mean mother in the best club pack in the world.

A chance in my opinion to be right centre in November as Senior plays left. Doesn't help us too much but you never know.

Okay guys. 1 down 2 to go. Galloway i'm not worried about either. The pep talk i gave him in 2006 is still etched in his mind. I have been working Benny over for a few weeks on end now. I even managed to get him to come thank his supporters on the fence after the game at Leichhardt last sunday. But i'm a few more weeks away from getting him to sign on the dotted line. Leave it with me. ;-)

Maybe you need to 'work them over' a bit more, I'm sure you've tried to do everything any man or woman could do ;-)

Just keep patting yourself on the back tho.... I'm sure your efforts will get you what you deserve.

Hogo and Ohara departure had already been factored into the 2009 cap a long time ago. We are up near the top and their is no way we are going to tie KG Teo and Head up. I think KG is a big chance, but Teo will be on everyones radar and as for Head, I dont think he is on Sheens radar.

When you look at the playing list we have, their is a heap of quality players to try and get under the cap, Benji Farah Lawerance Collis Rhino fulton Ellis TNT Payten Galloway--they dont come cheap.

My big hope is Teo,he has the x factor and is going to get better and better

If we can offload Morris I think the chances of retaining Head and Galloway are good. Not many clubs will still want to take the risk with Head and I remember reading that Galloway has said he was willing to take a pay cut. As for Teo well i think a few clubs are circling - could be a tough one to keep.

I think Head is vastly superior to Morris and provided he can stay healthy is a very good halfback. However I have reservations about offering him anything more than a 1 year contract extension at this stage. He's played 6 games for us, been good in all of them (without ever actually single handedly dominating any game), but if we re-sign him now it should be for 1 year only. If he plays the rest of this season, we can always look at extending that at season's end but let's not get ahead of ourselves.

I think Head will play better if he knows his career isn't on the line. I think we should offer him a 2 year contract. I reckon if we did that and he accepted, he'd be more relaxed and damaging to our opponents, not having to worry about uncertain contract issues etc.

Plus, he earnt a 2 year contract after 6 minutes this season.

Can someone put the play maker stats up
Johnny cronk now has 3 assists ... he got one for his shank that Benji scored from
What a halfback

Mate, nobody's disputing Head's value, all I'm saying is given his history, a 1 year extension is fairly reasonable. Definitely get him to put pen to paper on that now and if he continues to perform (and in fact play), look to extend that again before the start of next season. I just don't want to see us rush in and sign him on a 2 year contract and see him sitting on the sideline for large parts of it like so many of our other players.

Hahah so in half the games Head has 3 times the assists !!
Basically he is 6 times as creative as johnny cronk in try assists
And has more than 1 line break assist per game whereas johnny cronk is still waiting
What a f**king turd morris is ... these stats confirm it
Did j mo get an assist for the SBW try or 2 of penriff's ?

Let's avoid turning this into ANOTHER Head vs Morris debate as there is nobody left on Earth, outside of some WTF mongs, that think Morris is better than Head. The questions are (a) do we re-sign Head and (b) for how long. My answers are:

(a) Absolutely
(b) 1 year with a team option for a second

Coach shines still has hopes johnny cronk will snare the no 7
He probably has Head voodoo dolls at home as every minute that ticks by embarrasses Mr Shines more and more for placing his halfback eggs in the johnny cronk basket

Irrespective of his history, we need to secure a quality halfback, considering there's f**k all of them running around at present.

We took a punt on Prince (who was just as injury prone when he came to the tigers) And he played near on all the games he possibly could for the Tigers.

I think we have the same situation with Head. He should be offered a 2 year contract minimum.

Arrrr how lovely is that to see. And its only his 6th game.. he hasn't even stretched his wings yet.. he's only just started!

If Head keeps this up I will be his number 1 fan :)

I think 2 years is perfect to get an idea on how he fairs with injury and to see if he gets complacent or improves. And as someone pointed out, with the uncertainty of his future next year gone he may relax more and really show us what he can do.

He is our next priority signing!
