Again, I will stick with McFadden unless we can sign on a proven head coach. I don't want us to dishonour another contract for a coach who is little to no improvement.

there are plenty of other (not to mention better) options than Kidwell. If you're hellbent on a rookie with a good resume then get someone like Garth Brennan. But I'm in the boat of either an experienced NRL Head Coach or stick with Cappy until one is available.

I just hope the bulldogs get bundled out of the finals with ease and they decide to sack Des.

Would he be a bro or a pro once he meets the clowns in this team?

Bro. Like the shameful act he pulled when he was on holiday with Farah - bad enough that coaches are chumming up to players, but it was in the middle of Farah trying to knife Taylor.

No idea why Zero thinks he's a worthy applicant. Based on what?

Yeah but are they really an option?

As far as we KNOW Kidwell is the only one whos keen. People speak on behalf of others saying this guy and this guy but has that guy said hes keen? Thats the thing.

Just like Cappy, hes been behind the scenes a lot with the TOP coaches and thats my weak reason but hey, its how we picked up Cappy.

Do you know any coaches that are keen? Does anyone have a name thats putting their hand up? Just asking, itll be nice to see the other options.

I'd say Jim Doyle has contacted those who is keen on seeing as coach, and Kidwell going public shows me that he may not have been someone who was contacted.

Or I could be totally wrong lol
Yeah maybe. Still, all of us would like to know who those coaches are..guess all will be revealed soon.

I have no real attachment to signing a 'proven' coach.. but Kidwell isn't a great choice I think... someone here was saying before that he backed Farah somehow when Farah was knifing Potter (I think? maybe it was he was trying to knife Taylor) at the Tigers? I forget the details. That, if true, automatically disqualifies him for me.

Plus, he has nowhere near the best resume of guys who would be rookie NRL coaches. And make no mistake- those guys will be very keen for an opportunity, it doesn't matter where (and the fact that it would be with this roster would make it more appealing than most jobs that come up). Just because Kidwell said it publicly, doesn't mean he's the only guy keen.

Or Kidwell heard of the others being sounded out and is still waiting for the phone to ring, but seriously he might be an improvement ,cant see him putting up with any rubbish

Kidwell has a better background than cappy did. A grand final with the Rabbitohs in 2010, a grand final win with the storm in 2012. Some success with the kiwis etc. Cappy doesn't have that success.

Still, would much rather have a proven bloke like Toovey

Could it be something as simple as putting and advt. "Coach wanted" in the RL Week, Big League, SMH and a couple of other papers, carrying out interviews and appointing the best candidate?
If it's too difficult get an agent to do it.
