Who replaces Cappy?

Youre not comprehending though. You have a listening barrier similar to cognitive dissonance. I dont care if he was born in Mt. Smart Stadium. You are not getting the point Im making. Ok read my post again. Born in NZ? Fine, heres your medal. Now read a post for the point it looks to make.

If someone tells you to jump, I got the feeling youre the type to jump.

I now know why some people in here think you are either Iron Lion, Iron Lion's relative or best friend.

You take the medal bro lol

When those coaches are Bluey, Elliott and Cappy (all of whom have serious question marks over them) I'm not inclined to say "it's not the coach".
On the subject of coaching and why Cappy hasn't already been sacked I'd invite people to look at our history of mid season sackings and whether any of them have worked. We had Monie (replaced by Endacott, who didn't do much) Anderson (replaced by Kemp, fail), Bluey (replaced by Iro as caretaker then Elliott, fail) and Elliott (replaced by Cappy (fail). It almost never works as it gives an impression of a club in chaos and results in rushed appointments of whoever will take the job. Sonetimes you have to do it when a coach conpletely loses the dressing room (Bluey) but really it's a move to be avoided at all costs. Sacking Ls should come after the post season review or at the earliest when a team is out of finals contention- which has only been our status for two days now.

Very solid return SpaceMonkey I think that served Mr Chip in his Shoulder AKA Iron Lions #1 Fan

Irrespective of his nationality the idea that he's here to keep us mediocre is geniused. Do you think Eric Watson wants that? Every year the team underperform he loses hundreds of thousands of dollars in revenue from tickets, merch and potential sponsorship.

Don't try and argue with the guy that's turned "Full genius" waste of energy :p

If I was any of those I'd say so. Lions got some good points at times but then some are just his for a lack of a better description that doesnt offend.

Greg Alexander admits to being baffled by the Warriors' travails.

But the former NRL, State of Origin and Australian test star - who is making his mark as league's high profile TV comments man - says time should be called on coach Andrew McFadden after two extremely disappointing seasons.

The Warriors' top eight hopes disintegrated in the shock defeat to the Tigers at Mt Smart Stadium meaning a fifth consecutive season without finals football. The silence from Warriors HQ has been deafening since Sunday with none of the usual support for McFadden from chief executive Jim Doyle.

Former Warrior Alexander said: "I forecast the Warriors in my top eight again and they pulled the wool over my eyes again. I don't know what I was thinking considering they lost eight in a row at the end of last season with the same coach. I need to lay on a couch and be examined.

"We seem to go in circles and end up saying the same things again and again.

But five years outside the top eight is way too long for a side like the Warriors.

"Yes, just for the hell of it (change the coach). We can go through all those reasons, the things that might have conspired against them. But it didn't work last year, and it didn't work this year. So change it.

"I was surprised he stayed after losing the last eight games last year. I thought 'that's it'. That can't work. It's obviously broken and needs to be fixed."

Mark Gasnier, another former Aussie star turned top TV analyst, was non-committal over the coaching situation, saying club insiders alone would know the "culture and dynamics". But he was mystified by some McFadden selections, suggesting the coach was trying to keep others happy with regular changes in the halves and at fullback once Roger Tuivasa-Sheck was injured.

"I definitely don't have enough information to offer an opinion on whether he should stay or not," Gasnier said. "But sometimes you have to make (selection) decisions that don't please everyone but benefit the group."

Is there light at the end of the tunnel then?

"At the moment, the game doesn't always reward the most talented team but instead rewards the most disciplined and patient and some might even say boring teams," said Gasnier.

"The Warriors have to find that balance - their problems are more mental than physical. Consistency is the key to unlocking the Warriors. It's not as if you guys can't do it though - look at the All Blacks. They are a perfect balance of extreme talent and being really mentally tough."

Gasnier said his time at the Dragons proved a point.

"We had a champion team in 2005 and 2006 but were inconsistent and didn't win a comp," said Gasnier.

"In 2010 we had a lesser team on paper but one that was broken down to jobs that individuals needed to do to achieve our goal, a premiership. The most important thing was an unbelievable commitment to that goal both on and off the field."

Australian league caller Andrew Voss, who covered the Warriors in 2013, believes the club must confirm its coaching intentions quickly, and thinks McFadden deserves another season to prove his worth...unless Storm supremo Craig Bellamy becomes available.

Voss said: "I take things like injuries and golden point defeats on board. But from all angles they have under-achieved - I predicted they would make the top four.

"They need to sort out their defence - poor defence puts too much pressure on the attack. There are numbers you can't avoid - they conceded 36 points on Sunday, and 561 for the season. Only one club has conceded more.

"Every great coach will tell you that when it comes to defence, you can give players structure but it takes effort and attitude. Individually and collectively, they have to take a look at themselves."

This reflects what most of us here have been saying (not implying that we needed their confirmation) and thats; Cappys selections, why were not in the top 8 and why Cappy hasnt got the boot. Obviously not too much of the last topic I just mentioned but Brandy does go into that. Doyle needs to have sacked the bastard ages ago when it was talked about earlier in the season. Forget Wheeled Warriors (actually I first heard Phillip Smith bring that up) idea of potential coaches fear of job security, IMO most potential coaches without job will see that as futile and thats also subject to negotiations.

Doyle has been seeing what were seeing and obviously more. We are the external environment and Brandy & Gaz (Voss DKSAL) by saying what they said in that article further reinforces our perspective looking in. Views that Doyle knows but can be clouded by being around the "Cappy4president" crew.

I really like Gasnier's points above. Enjoy his game analysis too. Always seems on the money to me.
Voss talking about defence, well sure its a problem, but I think its a symptom not a cause.

The Toey Human (gaz) does make some solid points, just as bad as the selections at times was the lack of conviction with them

McFadden drops Lolohea, public backlash, McFadden caves and reshuffles

Compare that to

Taylor drops Farah, public backlash, Taylor sticks solid to his call and they are playing for a finals spot this week

That's exactly right. I read a lot of bullshit this week about McFadden being a tough but fair man, who is not afraid to make the unpopular decisions.

Absolute crap. Jono Wright was copping flack for being useless, he pinned it on Ayshford. He thought dropping Tui was a good idea, found out PR wise it wasn't, brought him back. Then knowing Ayshford was an easy axing, despite being pretty good for long periods minus 1 or 2 bad games, he dropped him.

He's flipflopped on Tui, Tevaga/Roache, Fus's best position, Ben's minutes earlier in the season, played favourites with Gubb etc.

Just been watching highlights of 2010, 2011 - ahh, nostalgia. I don't think our footy those seasons was boring at all...

Absolutely.

Let's all get used to the fact he's staying though. I can feel it, media are saying it, it's happening.

The Herald Sun article today about SJ's injury reeks of a PR exercise. Softening the blow for the fans. It's not all Cappy's fault because our main playmaker has been on one leg etc etc.

Why dont you answer your own posts thats replied too by others? What a cop out.

Because the other members talk sense mostly on here, though I may disagree with certain things I can understand where they came up with such an idea based on evidence. We as a collective group want the same success for our team remember? Don't try and get attention on here by being so outlandish and attention seeking ways, hence I called you out on it and suspected you being an IL fan or IL himself. I replied to your outlandish theories because you needed to be called out on it simple. Though others on here owned you on that already I just wanted to deal another blow because Doyle is the best signing for un management wise in our entire history. No cop out here mate.

P.S If you look at the evidence of most people in Australia the fans really don't hate our club, They have so much more hatred for the likes of Manly (I like them personally I dont understand the hate to be fair) or the Sydney derbies and rivals they hatred exceeds that of the Warriors surely being a leaguie you know this already. I dont have a link or article to support this but if you made a poll on here somewhere you will see what I mentioned above.
