Can we get a Government grant since they handing out cash to offer Bellamy 2 to 5 million a year for 3-5 years.
He can't refuse that can he?

Just announced on NZ radio that Cameron George is saying he’s targeting Craig Fitzgibbon and that the coaching job is his if he wants it.

Now aside from whether Fitzgibbon should or shouldn’t be the coach, surely he’s gotta wait until it’s 100% locked in before it’s announced. Comedy gold right there.

George is embarrassing.

Either we get Fitzgibbon or we look like a laughing stock where every following coach knows they're not really the coach we wanted.

Sounds like a perfect way to start a relationship.

I really want to believe that things have progressed a lot further than just ‘Fitzgibbon is our main target’ for him to come out with something like this. But going on previous form i don’t have a lot of faith

Heard it on 1ZB 3pm news headlines. They were quoting George but no audio. Just googled a few things and the info comes via a Channel Nine news site.
It states “the Mt Smart club have set their sights on Roosters assistant coach Craig Fitzgibbon to be their new coach, and the job is his if he wants it.
Warriors boss Cameron George has told our newsroom they’re undertaking a process and in due course will make comment when need be”.

Jesus...

Fitzgibbon doesn't want the bloody gig lol. He said that he didnt' want to break a promise to Nick politis.

Plus, he wants the Dragons job (which he will get, when it becomes available probably soon)

All George has done is pissed off the next coach, because he knows he wasn't the first choice target.

And why the f**k is fitzgibbon the main guy over Griffin and Toovey?

So... much.... dumb.

Couple of misquotes and porkies is all it takes to get the ball rolling. I still haven't heard or read a direct quote from George saying he wants Fitzgibbon as the coach and that the job is his if he wants it.

No from Bennet. No from Fitzgibbon. That’s 2 down 10 to go. Leaving Toovey. Griffen. Payton and Wane. Plus the other unknown 6 coaches who initially contacted George expressing head coach interest. It’s like a Whose Got Talent production

The decision should be made based off the coaches pulling power. Are the likes of Toovey, Griffin, and Brown going to be able to recruit any decent players over the next couple of seasons? To be honest, the Warriors best option could well be Shaun Wane. This could be a great opportunity to create another pathway for English talent to be introduced to the NRL.
