Who will be the Warriors new coach?

yeah, he didn't inspire much confidence...

I have no insights into Kearney's personality, it's the fact that he was a rubbish head coach that's the issue... if we go my media interviews, Kearney's personality in those seems little different to Bennett, Hasler, Bellamy etc... not everyone comes off like Phil Gould, but that doesn't mean they can't coach..

But there we go, he wants personality... that might mean Matt Elliott is on his was back, lol
Sounds to me his talking about his personality around the club and in day to day operations rather than how he comes across in the media.

What a prick. Seriously? That is one of the worst things I've read in rugby league. Kearney has just been dumped (and I believe fair enough) during one of the hardest periods this club has had to endure, then he gets insult on injury as this guy decides he has to give him an extra clip in regards to his personality.

That's pathetic. And I'm going to email the club and tell them that I think so. I'm sure they won't give a shit but that has seriously enraged me. Kearney deserves much more than that, he might not be cut out for it but he's a decent bloke who gave his all for our guys, especially in such a tough time.

... Kearney doesn't have much personality. Did you guys not hear him speak over the past 4 years?

I get it, it's not a nice thing to say to the media, but this boy is just not PC. It's brutal honesty. Might bite him in the arse later on down the track though.

Tbh, don’t see anything wrong with those comments,

But if Bellamy has sad no, Bennett has said no, what other “big name” coaches are we waiting for in 2020? I doubt Hasler would come.

The problem with the comments, is that it has nothing to do with coaching ability and results, which is what will gain you more respect from fans than a limp excuse like that

It doesn’t do anything to enhance the reputation of the club to potential coaches and players

As a 1 off the comment is ok, but when you consider where the Warriors brand currently sits in the NZ sporting landscape that sort of comment isn’t doing anything to lift it. The best thing about making the finals in 2018 was the general feeling of goodwill towards the Warriors, especially after the Kiwis World Cup debacle. In less than 18 months they have burnt that to the ground

good luck getting a response. Emailed the club last weekend, -asking a response from CG - I got nothing, absolutely nothing, but when membership drive comes up in a few months I’ll be letting them know.

Yeah I wouldn't expect one, just had to get it off my chest.

As a one-off comment, it doesn't mean the earth - although it is completely undeserved and it speaks again to a big-mouthed owner who wants to get himself in the media and make 'bold' statements that paint him out to be a no-nonsense operator who is going to resurrect us. I hated it. If that's the way he's going to operate, we could be in for some more shit.

Given the other options available am starting to think maybe Payten could be worth a shot as coach next year and then weigh him up against coaches available. He seems to have had solid success coaching younger guys (NYC and origin) so could improve our development of local young guys rather than always having to offer to pay overs
Maybe with Justin Morgan and Stace as assistants....

He was front right next to Payten. I only know because The glare off his head was blinding me.

I'm telling you that bloke will be here for life for some reason.
Yeah i saw bit of a reply today and saw he was there. I watched full game live n just don’t remember him being there what so ever LOL. Wishful thinking i guess
