It was his plan all along. Win us a premiership, leave and recommend Price leading to the club demise and then finally come back to restore our former glory :)

If it was a 'done deal' it would be announced. Ergo, while it may be likely or close, its not a done deal. Remember, Bellamy was as good as delivered to us but changed last minute.

This is facinating stuff, three weeks ago it was T Smith, then Sheens, a few days ago Henry has all but signed and now Uncle Wayne. No wonder I f**king drink!

apparently is still an option as backup if Wayne doesnt sign...

There will always be rumors in these rugby league circles otherwise we'd have 5 coaches by now....

To add to the Bulls*!t,

Dragons hunt continues
Neil Henry remains the favourite for the Dragons coaching job - but faces one massive hurdle.
Dragons officials Ian and Bob Millward and not big fans of Henry - Ian worked under him at the Cowboys several years ago.
And they are pushing for incumbent Paul McGregor to keep the job on a full-time basis for next season.
McGregor gave his hopes a boost with the hard-fought win over the Titans last weekend - his second at the helm since taking over from sacked coach Steve Price.

AND

McGregor considers options
Paul McGregor is sensibly playing his cards close to his chest over the Dragons coaching job, mindful of the personal damage it would cause if he was to put his hand up and still miss out on the gig. He'd prefer the club chase a big name and see how that pans out before expressing interest. But word out of Wollongong is the players are really responding to 'Mary's' coaching and would have no problem if he was to be handed the reins fulltime.

From the NRL Lurker...............

They beat two busted teams and they are talking about keeping Mary as coach beyond this year. Well thats how bad we are going so any type of win is ok . We need someone from outside the boys club . So what happens if they loose the next 3 games is Mary still ok ?.......

Yep - sounds good to me. Give the job to another rookie and waste another 2-3 years in mediocrity.

HAVE THEY NOT LEARNT ANYTHING FROM THE LAST ROOKIE COACH?????????:x

Why would we expect anything but this from the most apathetic board in the NRL ,they kept the last IDIOT 18 months longer than they should've , because it was the easiest thing to do ,if what is written above is true ,then its deplorable that board members think that they need to be pals with the coach and also shows that they want more say in the running of the team than they should ,they want someone to toe the ancient ST GEORGE/ILLAWARRA line. From what ive read about Ian Millward you would hardly go on any of his recommendations ,he seems to have pissed plenty of people off himself through his career. We should be hiring a coach for his ability to motivate the team to win and his technical ability , not because he fits in to the "able to be manipulated mould " that the control freaks from last century on the board ,require as their number 1 pre- requisite.

Whoa....hold up there sonny....

The source quoted is The Lurker. He has less of an idea than Bunniesman and makes our supporters look astute.
Nothing to see here....

It's so hard to support us sometimes...I want retribution for the last debacle against the purple scumbags so badly yet at the same time a loss would hold off the above from happening for a bit longer......grrrrr.

NO....not you too Tru ?

Come on lads top up those half empty glasses and read between the lines here.

The Tom Toms are beating and The Dark Prince has seen his mistakes. We will secure a top line coach
Cant you hear the birds singing? :D

My contacts who were highly involved with Wigan & now with St Helens once told me Ian was very erratic in his behaviour & totally upset the dressing room.If so it is a worry that he would have such a big say in who coaches the side.
