Wasn't sure which thread would be the best to pop is and ask...

I realise that the Lurker is almost definitely the worst tipster running around but he is saying today that my mob (Eels) are chasing Tui Lolohea. I would be very happy to take him off your hands but are we any sort of realistic chance of sweet talking your club into releasing him?

Apparently we were close to signing another high profile player on a big deal until the club uncovered an issue with drinking.

In the article you mentioned the Lurker said that Lolohea's preferred position is fullback. That's how much weight it carries (in other words, he's talking complete bs and has no idea whatsoever). With Chad seemingly on his way back to Sydney there's surely no chance of Tui being allowed to go.

As for his suggested player swap idea - unless it's Foran (no chance, obviously) we really wouldn't be in the market for anyone else. We don't need backrowers, Hopoate (the only really interesting back) is off contract anyway and none of the props would be worth losing Tui for - Norman sort of fits the bill.. but why would the Warriors swap Tui to get him?

Hoffman is terrific too, again many thought he was a poor signing...

I never noticed that, I thought pretty much everyone was happy with his signing, bar a little caution about how he'd go outside the Storm system, which is par for the course for any signing from Melbourne. He's a premium signing and has delivered so far. Just hope we look after him re the concussions.

Too be clear, Hoffman is a deserved selection.

However should not be playing.

Player welfare...really..

Until this season he was regarded as a half who had utility value. Fortunately for us he has shown that he can handle FB wing and centre to a high standard. He is regarded as a long term Warrior and some people regard him as better developed than shaun Johnston at a similar age.

It's scary to compare them at the same age (Johnson and Lolohea) but tend to agree that Lolohea has the more range of skill-set comparing the 2 at their same age. Johnson edge will always be that acceleration but Lolo is growing and could be the 6 we need if no other 6 comes to us.

Lolohea is fortunate in that he is in a stable Warriors set up that wasn't there for a lot of Johnstones time. He needs to get a kicking game. Personally I think that Lolohea is more suited to centre. Kata is a former Union halfback and may be more suited as a half IMO

Kata cant pass to his wings so I'd hate to see him in the halves. At Scared Heart College 1st XV he was a centre.

Would prefer Reynolds tbh, that being said we need a goal kicker as I can't see Issac luke wanting to kick next year, seems like he is forced to do so ATM
