you cant compare tier two sports to tier one sports. Reality is Australia has two main sports. And out of those two main sports one of them has 5 metro reach and is stomping the other one, who doesnt, in revenue generation.

but you make a good point, cricket has national covg and generates third most revenue of any sport in Australia, another example of why metro reach matters.

Realistically - and from revenue - there are 4 main sports worth a damn.
