Why Queensland have won eight straight

2 major, and very simple reasons:

1. Once in a generation team from Queensland with a close to immortal quality spine. Have also been blessed with injuries during their reign in these key positions.

2. Inept, and often downright staggering selections by NSW selectors over the course of the 8 years. Major examples include dumping the obvious heir to Buderus in Farah after just 2 games, 15 different halves in just 8 series, the obliviousness and pig-headedness where Pearce is concerned, Merritt etc etc.

I think in the last 3 years #2 has been more of a factor than #1. Again I fail to understand how the most capped NSW halfback failed to force 1 restart for an entire series! Then you have to look at proven origin players like Tim Grant being dumped and another in TLL failing to make even the city country side, all which proven douche bags like Pearce, Hoffman, Creagh, Gidley, Weyman, Perry etc being given several series to prove there shittyness.

The luxury of choice has cruelled NSW. Bob Fulton's neck must be sore from looking around at all the players at his disposal, and giving as many a go as he can.

Two amazing examples of the inept selection policies - Buhrer and Mullen - but so many to choose from.

Him and Daley were the two common denominators behind QLD's success in recent years, it's shocking to see such great players not know SFA about the game nowadays.

You know if you look back and watch that one origin game Mullen had, he was a actually pretty solid. Much better then Pearce ever was for sure.

Not really.

His performance doesn't come close to touching Pearce Game II 2011 off the top of my head.

Mullen was dudded tho.

As a Queenslander I'd be very happen for NSW to continue with Pearce over Mullen. Also please continuing snubbing Carney and Campese.

of the top of my head, all I remember from Pearce in that game was a solid defensive effort (particularly on Thaiday) and he seemed to shelve his ability to fxxk everything up on that night. I've never seen a brilliant attacking play initiated by him at SOO level. There is no dud bigger than Pearce.

I know you would, and lets no forget the master stroke a few years ago of dropping Hayne because he was a five-eighth

Was was solid in both Game I and II in 2011. I remember a very nice pass to Hopa who scored in the corner. It was Soward who stepped up and got the job done in Game II though. Kept the Maroons pinned down with his kicking game and ran the line brilliantly at the end. Looking back, bloody good work for his second Origin game.

Don't really remember him in game 1 and that pass was made to look good by Hoppa's great finishing abilities. Damn that guy was good! Looked like he was cut out of the same cloth as Inglis, Folau, Hayne...... If he could come back half of his former self next year, he could make his way into the NSW side. Soward was solid, I think his performances in origin was better then both Carney and Maloney, I remember how he scored that try at the end and then kicked a field goal to put it beyond doubt in game 2. Was surprised at how well he went especially with that douche bag Pearce as his 'partner'. The wrong half was sacked for the last 2 years. maybe next year we can get it right. Mullen & Carney

Tate will play again next year and Hoppa won't find quite the same passage that he found in 2011.

Are yes ... nothing to see here. We're not Sydney-centric says Todd Greenburg today - a flying pig soaring past behind him.

Melbourne duded with a non-try on Friday night. North Queensland duded with the seven tackle call on Saturday night. And the Broncos under 20s duded with two overturned penalties on Sunday.

A dud a day keeps those pesky non-NSWers away. Disgraceful.

Do Queenslanders tend to have chronic back problems... or do they carry a chip on both shoulders to balance it all out?

If the NRL is so Sydney-centric, why wouldn't they just rig Origin also?

But no, the big conspiracy only extends to elimination club games in the first week of the finals.....

Ahh ... I love the smell of denial in the morning.

Fuel for next year's series.

Stuff this ... the gloves are off. I'm going to call Joker's Wild a name.

You're a doo-doo head ... with a capital Doo.

As far as rigging Origin games ... have you see the footage of Paul Gallen punching Nate Myles lately? Remind me what the punishment was for that.
