This is some really nice wine....very Rhone, loads of pepper, very floral, medium bodied, red fruit and savoury meat characters. Right up my alley

Chateau La Tour Goyon Beaujolais-Villages 2007. I think this wine is a bit old, it tastes a touch flat even for Gamay. Would of been a good wine about 2-3 years ago.

Picked up a 2 for 1 deal with Jamiesons Run Limestone Coast Shiraz. In the decanter you could really get the blackberry & cherry, a touch of spice & vanilla. Really enjoyable, great quaffer.

Cracked two Eden valley reds tonight. 2010 heirloom Shiraz and an 08 radford spice bush Shiraz. Glad I purchased a few of each as I can put a couple away and enjoy now.

Got another 6 pack of Larry Cherubino Cabernets coming. In love with this winery at the moment.

Cheap night tonight...picked up a six pack of Koonunga Hill Shiraz Cab 2011 at half price ($7.50 each) at work. Very surprised tbh. Loads of fruit, good tannin, obviously cabernet heavy blend in a bad year which makes sense. Good footy night quaffer, will get more before the price goes up :p

Might have a glass or two of white at dinner tonight. It'll probably be cheap swill given it's unlimited glasses at dinner.

Essenze Marlborough Sauv Blanc.

... yes, I know it's NZ SB, but it's a nice white :)

I'm not a real white drinker, but getting into it lately.

Speaking of sales....Belgravia (from Orange) are offering all their wines for 110 bucks a doz. Free shipping. Bargain! The best wine is sold out (Apex Chardy) but the Roussanne and Syrah are winners, the Riesling is brilliant and the Sangiovese is very nice. Better clear some room in my cellar....slash cupboard. It's a cupboard.

2010 Lerida Shiraz Viognier. Rep gave me leftover 3/4 of a bottle from their tasting today. Always a top wine, in true Canberra region style it has the flavour profile of a Burgundy. Good stuff (although they'll tell you it's as good as Clonakilla. In their dreams...)

Jules Taylor 2012 Sav Blanc. Not bad, thought it might be a little better though.

That stuff is pretty handy for an NZ sav blanc. A little more French. Air NZ put it on their first class flights last year.
