Perhaps we should boot the out of town teams that we allowed into our competition, the best in the world, who then turned around and thanked us by whoring themselves off to a media company and attempting to destroy all the clubs that made the competition what it is, so much so said out of town teams were desperate to join it.
I see with all those logos in your sig that you at least follow codes where club profit is the major factor to success.
If NSWRL was in fact still NSWRL, RL would have be dead 15 years ago.

I wish Super League straight won the war. Then all the great players would be playing for Super League earning their coin and the NSWRL could have the rest of the has or never-was beens. Well at least the ones that didn’t flee to union or ESL.
As it is now, players are crying for more money, yet Sydney based clubs and therefore by default Sydney based fans, can't see why the sport hasn't grown. Crazy.

NRL should be based on an A League structure, the NRL should issue licenses to where said clubs will be geographically based and whichever clubs (or consortiums) bid successfully for those licenses gets their team in the big time. The rest of you can watch your team run around in front of 4000 people in the Sydney suburbs.

Like it or not professional sport is business.

I hope Perth never get a rugby league team because YOU PERSONALLY don't deserve one.

Learn to respect other people's differing opinions and they might start respecting yours.

super league lost $600million in one year through overinflated payments, they couldnt sustain those losses for another year so the peace deal was brokered, ie - they realised the 'coin' they were paying was more than the coin they were making - in the end their greed was their undoing and by god I laughed so hard i was in stitches when they failed....FACT - superleague did zero, zilch, zip for the game - in fact it darn near killed it - it was the darkest days in rugby league!!

Perth Red, you wouldn't be out of place working for News.com
Quite a few of those said that they would still follow the game but would not be as interested.
Which, losing their team is a given isn't it?

Tell me, with no Perth team do you pay attention 100%?
Well that's a silly question considering the time and energy used in your last post LOL.

I can speak from experience here and say that when South's were punted, I had a healthy dislike for the administrators of the game. I tried not to watch Footy in protest, but the game itself is just too good. I couldn't bring myself to support another team but I still had to watch Footy.

Think of the alternatives...

Rugby = poo
AFL = poo

about the only thing I could come at was Soccer and they don't play that here in Winter. Try as you might, if your team is punted, you'll still be drawn back to the game to watch at least.

Well said mate.

Those who say that they would never watch League again if their team was cut from the comp are either:
a. Liars
b. Brain dead
c. Wearing their shorts too tight
