Stoke away is a bogey game for us. Haven't won there in the league since their first year up. I get what you mean though in terms of dropping points to lesser teams. It's been a problem for the last decade. It cost us dearly that year we finished 2nd to manure. I can remember we drew at Anfield to the likes of Hull, WHU, and Fulham all in December and that stopped our momentum.

Ankjle injury in training. Which then got an infection.

Age is catching up with him. Its the hardest part of the pitch to play, the all energy midfield. He needs to change his role a bit.

Henderson was probably brought in as his long term replacement.

Yeah. I think we can all safely agree that Hendo was brought in probably with that in mind.......but I don't any of us thought the switch would have taken place this abruptly. I don't think the aim was ever to be challenging this season. Too much new talent in. Next year, after a season for everyone to settle in, is when your mob will come good I expect (unfortunately).

Once again I unfortunately read too much into an explosive start where we throw a lot at the opposition, hit the bar...etc

Some thoughts please. When you have a strong "squad", do you necessarily have to play your most-expensive players and leave proven players on the bench. And this is not a dig just at Carroll as is commonplace these days (....................though if Bellamy was on would it have been 1-0 after ten minutes??)

To me Rodriguez seems to be a forgotten man. Yes, we have an "England International" in Downing...but the lad seems to have forgotten where the goal is. He's using his athletic ability, but not his head.

Henderson, bless him, will replace Gerrard in the middle of the park but looks lost when he plays on the right. Okay, that was being nice. Yesterday, he was ****. How does Kuyt not start?
