I reckon Martinez would be a good pickup.

One of the reasons Wigan is so shit is because he tries to get them playing decent football (which is obviously pretty tough when you have geniuss like Franco di Santo in the team) instead of that route one shit that Stoke and you guys play when Carrolol is on the field.

I think he could do good things with your club. He's pretty much responsible for how Swansea are playing these days.

Hell, he could even bring Diame with him considering you guys are looking at him for some reason. Fckn hell, imagine it, from Xabi Alonso to Diame in 3 years.

You guys will be better next year, in fairness, you guys were pretty unlucky this season. Can't see you making top 5 but you definitely won't be 18 points or whatever the f**k it was behind the CL spots.

They aren't really.

But they're declined every year since Rafa ruined the team and if they don't make improvements in the next couple of years they might be.

I don't think they'll ever be a small team, their history is too good for that to happen. But i don't think they'll be challengers for a while...then again, it's not like Arsenal are anyway :crazy:

My only critiscism of him was that he played a part in this "Beat the big teams, draw/ lose to the crap teams" inconsistency that has been a problem at the club these last few seasons. Once Liverpool sort that out, the position on the ladder come seasons' end will improve dramatically.

It's not your old owners fault that you finished below Everton. They weren't responsible for the dumbest recruitment since Parramatta signed Whatuera and Chris Walker.

If KKKenny wasn't senile as shit he wouldn't spent 100 mill on making the team worse. You could have brought Bobby Zamora, Victor Moses, Clint Dempsey and Reo-Coker and you would have finished higher.

I like Rafa, think he's a decent guy, but his tenure gets looked on with too much fondness IMO. We should've won the league but bottled it over December/January in 08/09, he pissed off the most important player to our structure in Xabi Alonso and bought alot of average players for small amounts rather than just getting single decent players, which saw us having f**k all down the left hand side for pretty much his whole tenure.

Poor descisions since he left havent helped at all but it was unquestionably the right decision to move him on when we did, and going back to him wont do us any help at this point. AVB would be a shit decision also.

I think Martinez would be quite a good appointment but wouldnt surprise me if he went to someone like Villa, where there is a bit less pressure, and worked his way up to a big club.

Everton are irrelevant. A poor season for Liverpool is generally a decent season for them. There were enough shots on goal, finishing was the problem.

Interesting betting on who the next Liverpool Manager will be.
One agency had Brendan Rodgers(who according to some didnt want to talk to Liverpool)firm from 3/1 to 1/4.
Something must be doing or its just a reaction that Martinez wont get/take the job.
May just be one agency has taken a large bet but thats some plunge.

Could be a very good appointment as he took a Swansea side that nobody expected to stay up to 11th. I doubt Roberto Martinez will even go to Villa either because Whelan put a deadline of the 1st of June for Martinez to make a decision, at least Whelan will STFU for a while hopefully.

I dunno for some reason I've got a good feeling about this appointment and believe we will do better maybe not in the top 4 but finish about 5th or 6th and a cup run or 3 as I reckon Newcastle won't be as lucky with injuries this time round and Tottenham losing Modric to the red tablecloths. I also like the new kits and will buy one as soon as they come out. Who knows it may all end in shit but I'm sick of being negative.

Rodgers has said he wants control of this so you'd have to think Kenny didnt have the final say on transfers.(the guy they brought in to help Kenny already got the chop).
