I think he was approached but not enough offered so we were told to take a hike.
Dont know if we'll be back again but you never know.
Quaresma,Simao and Heinze were all on the radar as well.
Cant always get who you want so they have a plan B.

Benayoun and Babel on the wings then by the looks of it. Babel seems to be a yong highly sort after player and Benayoun seems to be an underated player in the Premiership who may not score many goals but is good a setting them up.

bellamy was signed for 7.5 million pounds, where as Torres was signed for about 20 million pounds. Liverpool signed bellamy the year before for 6.5 million pounds

Looks like we might be signing either Gabriel Heinze or Giorgio Chiellini. Which looks like we'll be losing Fabio Aurellio, as Heinze is better suited to left back as is Chiellini. They both look like good signings but we need a central defender, someone like Vincent Kompany.

I love the fact that the Mancs are squirming over this Hienze saga. Rafa rattled them with his cheeky little bid.

100% pre season record, with a final to go. I know it doesn't mean much but I get a woody thinking about what may be this campaign.

i still dont think we'll win it but we atleast have some depth in the midfield this year and now a gun forward up front. hopefully we will see a few more dimensions to the attack.


would love to land heinze just to piss Sir Ass off. that and he's quite a handy little player lol

absolutely. they have a delivered some of the best stadiums in the US for their teams, and looks like we will be getting the same.
will be sad to leave anfield though - but what has won me over is the design of the kop stand. can't wait :cool:
will make goodison look like a council park.:lol:

i'm feeling the same, hate to leave anfield but by god thats an impressive looking stadium. 18 000 single tier grand stand for the KOP. brilliant.

I love the new stadium H and G came up with.

Does any one have any info on Reds supporters clubs that are based in Sydney? I watched the Champs league final at the sports bar (Casino) and there was no atmosphere. Last years went off.

Is there no love for the Reds in Sydney?
