Got a phone call at around 7pm last night from one of my out of town co-workers (in that we're both employed by the same company but work in different cities) who needed a place to crash so he could make his flight home.

That's cool. I don't mind.

He gets in late, keeps me up until 1am. That's cool. I enjoy the chat.

He has the foulest smelling feet in the universe. My apartment reeks of foot even after his departure. I'mma Glade that mother-f**ker as soon as I get home.

Still getting bad headaches and neckaches everyday after being knocked out four months ago.

Also, depression.

I've been dealing with the black dog for a few years myself. I feel for you. As much as I dislike the process in Aus, have you talked to a GP to arrange some kind of mental health plan?

It won't fix things, but having medication and somebody to talk to can put you in a better position to work on things your own way.

I'm in on that boat.

Also, the depression could be a result of concussion from being knocked out. Go see a doctor, dude, asap.

I wouldn't have said it if I hadn't seen a doctor already. Had five weeks seeing the chiropractor which didn't help. Then had two MRIs last week and get the results tomorrow. For $750, and how much it's hurt for so long, it better show something.

I've been to various counsellors and doctors for depression over nine years or so. I dislike anti-depressants. To me it's like having a thorn in your side and taking painkillers instead of taking it out.

It would be nice if it didn't follow you everywhere. It might be time for that though, just so it doesn't worry my family anymore. That's my only real concern.

I recently got put on new anti depressants. Seriously made me feel like a different person. I know it's only a temporary fix, but it's better than nothing.

I get bad migraines and insomnia from my depression and this stuff, it's called endep, helps treat all of that.

That's what made up my mind for me. My brother walked in to see if I wanted to grab dinner and found me on the phone to Life Line in a sobbing wreck. Ten minutes later he had my mother on the phone. The very next day I started seeing somebody.

It never completely goes away, but you can have lengthy reprieves. It's been a long while since it's made my life hard. I've enjoyed a pretty damn good twelve months since seeking treatment.

I got it with my marriage seperation...went on anti's and wish I had'nt as they did nothing but masked the crap I was going through.

Been off them for over a year and fit and healthy...

Taking a lead from gUt, chiropractors and other "alternative health" practitioners seriously rustle my jimmies. Especially since my parents both trust them, which has done neither of them any good.

Don't be too quick to rubbish anti-depressants as an option for somebody else, though. I've tried 3 or 4 different ones and found only one that I 'liked'. Sometimes it just takes that little bit of help to put you in a position to make the changes you need.

I used mine short term to get myself in a better headspace and then phased them out in favor of exercise, a social life, and travel.

And on a vaguely related tangent - psychics who exploit the grief of the mourning.

lol. Psychics are funny as f**k. I met one on a train that hot day we had a few weeks ago, she said to me "I'm psychic, I'm sensing you're hot today", she was dead serious too, made my day lol

I wouldn't say all psychics because I mostly blame the stupid people who pay to see them. But when someone is grief-stricken and has their memories of their lost loved ones all f**ked up by some self-important merkin... well that gets my jimmies a-rustlin
