You know what really rustles my jimmies

Failure to indicate can be the cause of many accidents - the people behind the non-indicating driver aren't necessarily the only ones affected.

My other indicator gripe is when people indicate right into a roundabout when they're going straight, then indicate left off. You only have to do the latter!

This...sick of it big time.

I agree everyone should indicate every time and early enough but really, it's not the sort of thing that should cause accidents. If you're as far enough back as you should be (3+ seconds) a lazy indicator should cause you the minimum of fuss.

Round-abouts, deciding not to indicate when going into a drive way, braking last second on a 60 km/hr road. Yeah, Indicators can cause accidents if f*ckwit drivers decide to dumb-shit while also failing to indicate.

The other day I had some f**king moron stop dead in the middle of a roundabout whilst turning right after I honked aggressively at him, pulls his window down and starts giving me a lecture about how you don't need to indicate when turning.

Won't be surviving long when in Canberra with that belief.

I second that...that and depression. Poor day today, sigh

I'm having a shit few weeks. I think it's just reminders of stuff that was happening this time last year. Sleep is becoming rare unless I drug myself up badly too.

Oh I feel that....the last month, four hours is a good night. I hate sleeping pills, won't take them, so I struggle by. Haven't been eating much either...stupid brain chemistry :fist:

Sleep... hopefully before 4am tonight. Rarely eat either. Weight isn't looking too good for upcoming footy season.

Manu Feildel on his L plates trying to drive...so those so called celeb chefs are just plebs and nothing more than glorified cooks.

The forum cop in me has grown to Facebook.

Now like many on LU, sometimes I resent the way journos - especially from the Tele - treat the NRL. But today, I've found myself feeling sorry for them.

There are several pages on Facebook, namely "Everything Rugby League" and "Rugby League Fanatics" spring to mind, who republish stories word-for-word, in full on their Facebook pages, accompanying images and all, with absolutely zero attribution or links back to the original source.

It's frustrating to see this morning that Josh Massoud (regardless of your thoughts on him) wrote a brilliant piece on the Mannah memorial service & Jon's final days... and these pages republish the article as if they wrote it. The post on each of the pages I mention above has several hundred shares and thousands of likes, hundreds of comments.

Is it any wonder journalism is a suffering profession when selfish glory-hunting Facebook pages like those ones rip the work of journos off?

The best ones are where there is no right turn at the roundabout, so you assume they are doing a u-turn

Red is go.
Green is stop.
Amber is a pretty colour.

In the words of my son,

Red means stop
Green means go
Amber means speed up.

+1. Was reading what you said on Twitter before. Agree 100% it's beyond a joke now. This people are just glory-hunters who think they are doing the "fans" favor by doing this. There's only three sources of sports news I use.

You are right, have to feel for the journos. Some of them pour their heart into these articles and you get nuffies stealing them with no credit.

to be honest, I see where you are coming from, but this isn't causing any serious damage to the author's work. They still get published and paid. Only the publication is affected.

This should not be used as an excuse for substandard and shithouse journalism. Phil Rothfield and Bec Wilson aren't shithouse hacks because of a Facebook site and they deserves no sympathy because of it.

At the end of the day, morality, integrity, research, fact checking and writing ability is what matters most to a journo. Most of today's journos, not just in sport either, lack to many of these.

I completely agree... but shouldn't these stories, regardless of how bad (or good) they are, be viewed on the original page or paper for which they were intended?

These corporations (Fairfax, News Ltd) have legal departments. I always wondered why they are doing f**k all about it? It's not like they're difficult to find or remove.

The journo, good or bad, should at least have their name attached to the quoted article if these sites are going to do this.
