Yeah agreed, had a mate who lost his twin son in 2007, and he forked out a heap to see a psychic to get back in touch with his dead son. Was frustrating, hard to talk sense into people when they are grief-striken, sometimes they'll cling to anything.

lol. Psychics are funny as f**k. I met one on a train that hot day we had a few weeks ago, she said to me "I'm psychic, I'm sensing you're hot today", she was dead serious too, made my day lol
 You should have answered "Thank you. My wife thinks I'm pretty hot as well."

I got it with my marriage seperation...went on anti's and wish I had'nt as they did nothing but masked the crap I was going through.

Been off them for over a year and fit and healthy...

That's my problem with them. People I've known who have been on meds either say they feel nothing or feel like they did before once they go off them. That said I've never been a drinker or taken drugs. I'd hate to know what I'd be like if I drank alcohol.

I never talk about it to anyone really. I don't want to worry my family and most friends just do not understand. I really hate people when they say 'harden up' or 'just get over it'.

The irony is that some of those knobs who tell you to get over it are self medicating their own issues through grog or substance abuse and just deny it.

I had to try I think about 6 before I found one that worked and didn't make me feel sick and nauseas ect. Not everything works the same for everyone. And if it doesn't work it means it's the wrong kind for you.

I also agree with your last statement. Most of my friends dont know I'm on them. They can't comprehend things they know nothing about.

Oh certainly. Many of them do. One of my other friends has had things work out for him lately and so acts like he's the utmost authority on getting over sadness.

Anyway, other things that rustle my jimmies are:
Cooking dinner and eating it alone
Watching your hometown slowly die knowing there's not much else you can do about it and wonder what it will be like in 20 years time.

Don't be too quick to rubbish anti-depressants as an option for somebody else, though. I've tried 3 or 4 different ones and found only one that I 'liked'. Sometimes it just takes that little bit of help to put you in a position to make the changes you need.

I used mine short term to get myself in a better headspace and then phased them out in favor of exercise, a social life, and travel.

Agree...not rubbishing them...just did not like the reliance on them.

Went the same way as you...exercise etc.

That's how I always dealt with it before, exercise and waiting for the next big trip away.

But this is the first time I've looked at a year and thought 'f**k, how am I gonna get through that?' Even football doesn't look appetising this year.

That was 2011 for me. Fresh back from an awful few months in South Korea and the break-up of a two year relationship and my dead-end IT job didn't exactly put a whole bunch of high points on my calendar for the year.

A few months of therapy and medication, some exercise, and forcing myself to socialize changed things up quite a bit. That said, getting out of the country and on the road again helped a whole hell of a lot.

Things that rustle my jimmies:

Lazy drivers who cannot be bothered indicating when turning or indicating at last minute.

 THIS x 1000. Encountered it at least 10-15 times over the weekend. Lazy pricks.

It's the most annoying thing while driving and makes it impossible to understand what move a person is going to make. I nearly got wiped out today by some dumb shit red-p plater for his stupidity with not using an indicator.

I agree everyone should indicate every time and early enough but really, it's not the sort of thing that should cause accidents. If you're as far enough back as you should be (3+ seconds) a lazy indicator should cause you the minimum of fuss.

Yeah it's alright for you BM, people can see you because you drive this ^. But for all us normal folk out there who drive normal cars, other motorists may not see us.

Failure to indicate can be the cause of many accidents - the people behind the non-indicating driver aren't necessarily the only ones affected.

My other indicator gripe is when people indicate right into a roundabout when they're going straight, then indicate left off. You only have to do the latter!
