I don't think many people realise this but out of the 4 players that we've bought from the ESL the best performing player was the 33 year old winger from Warrington who scored 23 tries from 24 mtaches including 3 in the grand final...

I think Chris Hicks will actually surprise many people this year.

He may well do buddy, but I'm not holding any hope or positive vibes re this signing.
Big step from ESL to NRL. Plus, he'll be playing outside the same halves pairing (initially) that screwed our backline this year.
I'm just breathing deeply and staying calm at this stage with no expectations of anyone.
I have only hope that our new coach will get the best out of the old hacks that we have purchased. The potential is there. The proof will be in the Christmas Pudding.

mmmm - i'm with suity - I have absolutely no expectation of any of the ESL guys cos I think ESL good/bad form means absolutely nothing to how a guy can play in the NRL .... eg Lyon and Barrett were superstars in ESL but when they returned to NRL they struggled - they may have eventually got back to NRL level, but they were wayyyyy off the pace for probably 12 months

We have good depth for next year, hopefully it fixes that particular issue we had this year.
