I agree.....Id love to see Lomax hit form!
that would boost Lafia also and then it would be ON!
as long as he gets the fast wingers in there though as Lomax and Lafai arent too quick but can both get passes away from nothing, Aitken plays just dumb im so over his rubbish and selfishness , in the last gamers last year Lomax was picked over him , Id love to see Mary stick with the incumbent and thats Lomax!
Im damn excited about Ravi and Pearson also..... yes theyre raw but DAMN fast and both so strong.....the mistakes they might make, say letting in the odd try or dropping the odd bomb theyd make up for in tries if served by Lafia and Lomax
You gotta give em a go and let em have some experience you cant keep picking plodders like Periera and blatant selfish amateur hit n miss idiots like Aitken, god i hope Mary gets some balls and takes some risks or well lose a few games early an and will be playing catch up.....

Mary, via some advanced technique of self hypnosis, has obviously convinced himself that Mudgee was not the Charity Shield but a meaningless trial where form mattered for little. Aitken, despite being largely invisible and doing zilch is Scotland's number one RL centre and is still an automatic selection in Mary's mind. Us leaking 7 tries, despite Souths not getting out of first gear and the score flattering us, is not a concern

Amazing how this guy manages to fool so many of the pundits who think the team will finish not just in the eight but the top 4! Mary reminds me of Lucy Van Pelt out of Peanuts with us a collective group of Charlie Browns. Every year he invites us to come running up to kick the ball with the hope and expectation that we will do well and every year he whips the ball away at the last second and we land on our collective arses.

No, I'm looking at it through a wide angle lens, one that saw his performances while playing 80 min at right centre last year with only 1 or 2 games before playing finals footy.

One of the things I would look for when choosing a player for a rep team is,
1. What has he got that comes naturally that others don't.
Lomax is a natural athlete, he puts on footwork or a pass that Aitken just doesn't possess.
I want to be entertained, not bored with someone just charging into the defence, that works in U10's only.
I guarantee you Lomax will score or create 100 more tries than Aitken.
I don't care what Gidley would have attempted or not.
I don't care what Gidley would have attempted, but you mentioned him.

Interesting guarantee there. Aitken scores 8 tries in 2019, Lomax sneaks in for 108 tries. Are you offering a market for this?

If I was coaching us, I would be expecting us to finish in the top 4, but I would have a few different selections than Mary.

Market is suspended, due to Aitken banned from playing boring unimaginative football & looking lost in defence. He has been summoned to a rehabilitation course in NSW Cup.

Poor effort on your part
You know the intent of his post so don’t distort it for your own benefit
By the way do you think Aitken is a shoe in for origin this year?

Here's hoping but NRL can sure stuff this up.....

If the NRL win in court against JDB
which I hope Wont happen, then the extra cap money from JDB or part off should be to retain Robson. At end of season there are other fringe players that can make way for Hopefully JDBs return.

Why would Robson want to stay given Mary’s treatment of him? Do we think these guys have no pride?

Robson has come through our junior program and most probably would prefer to stay with the Dragons if possible. I'm sure Millward would want to keep him so there is always a chance Mary could be convinced while his contract still has not been finalised.

I don’t think the first game of a season has so much hanging on it for us poor suffering Dragon fans. I’m an optimist by nature, but from what I’ve seen at the charity shield I’m worried. A win against the cowgirls is so so important IMO.

Zac Lomax could make his first appearance for the Dragons in 2019 with centre Tim Lafai in doubt for Thursday night's clash with Brisbane at Suncorp Stadium.

Lafai has been hampered by a hamstring complaint so Lomax, who was named on the reserves list, has flown to Brisbane with the team as cover.

The Late Mail
Broncos v Dragons, Thursday 7.05pm (8.05pm AEDT) at Suncorp Stadium
Broncos: No late changes expected for the Broncos after last week's victory over the Cowboys. Corey Oates has scored 12 tries in his past six games, while the Broncos have defeated the Dragons in 10 of their past 11 games at Suncorp Stadium. Patrick Mago and Izaia Perese dropped off the extended bench 24 hours before kick-off.

Dragons: Tim Lafai is carrying a minor hamstring niggle with Zac Lomax travelling with the squad to Brisbane as cover on Tuesday, along with reserves forward Mitch Allgood. The Dragons scored 82 points in two victories over the Broncos last year. Reece Robson and Jonus Pearson dropped out of the 19-man squad on Wednesday night.

Zac Lomax bought an apartment.

In other news, mandarins are coming into season and a school of ducks crossed the road near Brighton Le Sands.
