We really need to throw some money at Bronx now, the way he's been playing other clubs will be chasing him too.

f**k off idiot. Come tell me how you feel after years of development, to the point where he is 15 games into his career and touted as a potential rep player, and some club pinches Shannon Walker from your grasp.

There is and should genuine sorrow for raiders fans, between this and henry, as well as an injury list as long as you're arm, we've had a f**king rotten start to the year

There should be genuine sorrow now for your team? Ok.

Go sing your story of sorrow to a Dragons fan and they in turn will give you tips on how to deal with an injury list and seeing development players "pinched" from their nursery.

Your story isn't unique ... as one said ... "f**k off idiot" ;-)

As I said in another thread , Zillman could catch the same flight out of Canberra as Henry and Costigan and Carney could see them off at the airport.

There's a little sympathy, but no sorrow.

A chook raffle front office wont breed onfield success. Who are they paying all their coin to if they can barely afford Carney and fail on Zillman? The forward pack are no-name journeymen, as are most of the backline apart from Carney. They must be paying the likes of Learoyd-Lahrs 400K :lol:. If you try and pay peanuts to get good players (and coaches) out of the bargain bin - then pay overs to nuffies, you'll be rewarded accordingly.

Thanks Don Furner Jr...
now im assuming you are Don Furner Jr, to know all that you'd have to be... otherwise one could be forgiven for writing that post off as complete and utter garbage, sprouted by a man with zero actual knowledge on what goes on within the Canberra Raider front office.

Mal Meninga proved that a Queenslander can stay in Canberra for more than two years without getting home sick.

Seriously, what's happened to the Canberra club ...? They can't keep talent and where are all the juniors that came through the ranks in the days of old? You've done well with the players you've had, but things are looking pretty shaky at the moment.

No wonder I have no passion left for this club. I'm over everyone leaving. Relocate to the CC and stop wasting everyone's time.

What is wrong with so-called "adults" these days? Why can they not handle moving away for a few years to make a living for themselves? These people are supposed to be professionals, yet all we hear about is how "homesick" they are. It seems to be the only reason players move clubs these days, and it's such a bullsh*t reason.

Zillman is on par with Henry in my books after this, and always will be. Contract-breaking scum.

Contract breaker? He had an option in his contract that allowed him to look elsewhere after this season. Blame your management for being stupid enough to sign a contract with such a clause in it.

Why is it that every player that leaves Canberra get's abuse hurled at them? Just one of the many appeals of going to Canberra, a cold climate, a cellar dwelling team and a set of fans that'll turn on you at a moments notice.

f**k off salivor, just because one person speaks out against zillman leaving, dont label the rest of us like that....whats happened to common sense these days.

I cant blame skeepe for being angry although i dont feel the same way, a lot of time invested in bringing him through to see him poached...kind of sucks if you ask me.

I wouldn't have said this at the start of the season, but now I think loosing him is a blessing for us in disguise.

We've done that Shorty, in 2003 we came 4th - no name players.

I've said countless times that I dont want Canberra to sign anyone, I'd hate it if my club tried to buy a premiership because it'd be as hollow as anything the Roosters have ever had. I just wish other clubs would stop buying our players and focus on their own f*cking kids.

If people stopped poaching the Raiders talent we'd be a top 8 team every year (and that's being conservative)

how about taking the time to cheak other fans reactions to the news before tarring us with the same brush

Zillman was open and honest, he said weeks ago the idea of a return home was very appealing and that he was going to inact his clause and test the market, he did so and signed with minimum fuss, didnt drag it out, didnt piss about, no theatrics, made a decision, explained it and even thanked the club sincerly for all they did for him

he's a classy bloke and the way he's gone about his business is proof of such. He's made a clear and consise decision, and has been up front and honest since day dot.

Cant ask for much more. I wish him all the best. And frankly one N.Henry could learn alot from young William Zillman

I also have no problems with Zillman - I have problems with the way our club is being run, but more importantly with poaching clubs who have no idea what development or pride mean.

How long till the Titans lose their licence? 5 years? The crowds are dropping after 3 home games.

in what respect?
we've lost 2 members so far:

1. Neil Henry, a lying prick who was clearly never committed to this club and was only leetching off us until the cowboys sacked murray, i firmly believe it was never Henry's intention to stick around and that he completely used this club. We're better off without him

2. A very talented QLD kid who is returning to a QLD club to be close to family, a kid who has now done the same ACL in the space of 3 games. The titans offered good money and the security of a 4 year deal, topped with being close to family and friends, how can we beat that offer? and further more why should we? Its a massive risk on their behalf, one canberra obviously didnt want to take. I hope it pays off for Willy's sake, a tremendous talent and a really top bloke, but i have my doubts... massive ones at that... ACL's have a tendancy to be reoccuring. To have 2 on the same knee this early in his career... spells danger

Management have already stated after the Henry thing that they learnt their lesson and no such clauses will ever be used in the contractual agreements at this club again... what more can they do? they took a bloke on his word, and lost an injury plagued talent back to his home land... how either can be placed at the feet of management is beyond me
