I hope you are right sparrow, but I reckon there is a fair bit of bad grapes and bias in some of those claims. UNderstandable certainly, but let's face it that would be extremely high interest for a player like zuess and where he is at and what he has achieved in his career.

Nevertheless, the interest is there I assure you.

I believe you mate, just question the motives of the source who gave it to you that's all.

I'd like to see Zuess somewhere where his speed is noticed. I remember a day at ericcson when he tore apart the warriors with his pace and step.

I think you're making an assumption on the source. The source isn't Been There dottie.

Zeus will find another club with ease and play first grade.

This reminds me kinda of Matt King. Both are big, fast and strong.

Both came to our club after having time away from the code and have not been developed. Two years later King is playing Origin... Who woulda thunk it?

Zeus if given a real shot at centre could make all you haters look very stupid.

Will tell you now, Goldy wont be asking or getting a bucket load of cash. But anything would be better than the $880.73 a week he gets from the Sharks.
Compared to Nigels $7432.25 per week, he is a bargain for somebody who knows where & how to play him.
If it be Union or league, the potential is there.
Wonder if the forum nuffies will feel the same way about simmo when he drops form from his current "acceptable" to "well below par".
Happens to al players. Not a matter of if, just when.

I wasn't assuming it was Been there mate, one could reasonably assume that he would have that kind of opinion on zuesses options. The fact is, if the source saying he has 6 options is anyone BUT each of the individual clubs seeking him, then it carries little weight doesn't it ? managers and the player himself obviously have motives to talk it up, and our own staff are going to feel better about dumping him if they tell the world he has plenty of options, or came to them saying he had options.

A player isnt a bargain at $0 a week if he costs games reefy. Goldy hasnt cost us many IMO but your theory that someone will pay him more than $40000 a year just cause he's cheap is flawed. Like buying something on sale just because it's cheap.

Best news I've heard for a while. Never really rated the bloke.

I can't see how you can find it good news or "best news" when:

A) He's not being replaced by anyone better or otherwise

B) He is our only replacement (so far) for centre

BTW The article in RLW is from the rumour orientated journo "The Mole"

This is why:

I get your point Coolum about not having depth to replace him but I see this as great news for the simple reason im fuggen sick and tired of seeing him going for jersey grabs when he is in FIRST GRADE! If he wants to do that sh** then let him play elsewhere. The only decent game i've seen him play was against the Warriors a few years back then he pissed off to snoreball and come back. WTF??? I honestly dont see him as a 1st grade QUALITY centre. Maybe winger but definately not centre.

When i see the team sheets(when he is playing) and see who he is lining up against i cringe with fear for the simple reason he is not a centre. Plain and simple. He has had more then enough chances and shown zilch potential. At least Simmo is improving IMO.

No its not flawed.
Good coaches see potential in players and bring out that potential.
Doesnt matter if the guy has 30 first grade games or 200. A goood coach can see a players potential and can turn it around, because he has the structure and personell to do so.
Every year the NRL is littered with "best buys"
We have even had some ourselves
Smith
Adamason
Webb
Thurston
Bott
Bell
Campbell
Southern
hodgson
king
Kidwell
etc etc

Maroubra, what did you think of Vaganas 3 missed tackles for 2 tries against the tigers and also what did you think of Mellors 4 critical misses which in any other timezone, should have resulted in at least 2 tries?
When did you ever see Goldy defend as badly as the 2 efforts I just mentioned.
Why is a shirt grab, any worse than a blatant miss?

Agreed there can be best buys, and also that players revel in a change sometimes. But to be a best buy mate, they have to get him for a bargain in the first place, and that would mean paying the same or less than he's on at the sharks.

we got hutch deadset cheap, we would have paid much more if needed, he's a best buy example.

IF goldy is on the money you saw fit to post on here mate, then you are wrong.

Hutch's salary when placd next to Goldys salary makes him fantastic buy.

Your saying goldy is on approx $40K right ?

hutch aint on anywhere NEAR $120K reefy.

At the end of the day in theory a miss is a miss but that game against the tiges did me reefy. I'd rather see a bloke miss a tackle going in for a big hit or going around the legs and coming off second best then going for the jersey but thats just me. I was on here giving him s*** when someone got up me and said just wait and see how he goes tonight(as it was friday). I did that and to my surprise nothing changed. My mates give it to me left, right and centre about the bloke and im just sick of trying to defend him.

I just reckon their are better centres out there then goldy.

Snoop...

I think he has shown potential and then thats where it stops, so I agree with you but unless there is a good replacement and thats why I'm not happy hearing that news (if it's true) is all.

THat jumper grab in the south west corner of Cambletown was shocking by goldy, but most first graders can claim a fewof those in their time.
