Really, really looking forward to this weeks game as always!! We've won three in a row now so we need to keep chugging along and getting those wins. Gonna be so good to get some more troops back for this one, Sam should return which will be a massive, massive boost.

This is the kind of game we should win but at the same time, it is a danger game and we must be on our game. The Sharks are fighting for their Season at home so will be super desperate for a win which will make this game difficult. What's more, I think they'll be getting a few big names back too which will make it even more challenging. We let the foot off the throat last week and simply can't afford to do that against Cronulla, they'll make us pay.

Can't wait!

My predicted Line Up for this week,

1. Doueihi
2. Gagai
3. Roberts
4. Burns
5. Graham
6. Walker
7. Reynolds
8. Tatola
9. Cook
10. T.Burgess
11. Sutton
12. S.Burgess (C)
13. Murray

14. Su'A
15. Nicholls
16. Lowe
17. Knight

I've gone with Nicholls over Britt purely because I think this will be a really grinding game and in my opinion, that suits Nicholls more. Guess we'll find out pretty soon!

Round 20 NRL Line Up to play Sharks: https://www.rabbitohs.com.au/news/2019/07/30/round-20-nrl-line-up-to-play-sharks/

Very happy with that!! The strongest Line Up we've had in weeks! Will be so good to have Sam back, so too Knight who has been missed. I am surprised though that Bennett has gone with Turner ahead of Su'A. Kyle will obviously do the job and not let anyone down but I have loved Su'A's work now that he's getting settled and I would've thought he'd be the better option. That's just my opinion though. Still, very pleased with that Line Up.

Cronulla are 8-10 including a 1-5 run over the past 6 weeks but only one of those 5 losses were by more than 2 points, a 40-16 loss away to Melbourne on the night of Cam Smith's 400th.

They're a better group of players than 10th but as a team, it seems to be accurate.

Souths are quietly going about things in second place with a 3 game run after a disastrous 0-4 origin period. Not necessarily convincing performances but winning - and losing - can be a habit.

With the cavalry returning for Souths, i find it hard to see Cronulla winning on the basis of them just not being very good as a collective. If Souths turn up and put in a good honest team performance, then they should get the job done.

Greg Inglis back at Rabbitohs training: https://www.rabbitohs.com.au/news/2019/07/31/greg-inglis-back-at-rabbitohs-training/

Great to see GI back! Hopefully that'll give the boys a bit of a boost.

Also, Sam appears to have made it through training well today so he should be good to go which is fantastic news!

I think it would be fair to say,Souths' credibility as 'finals' contenders is at stake.
Its go hard or go home for the Bunnies.
The Sharks aren't a bad side really but they are not a good side.

Souths need to win this game and they a must beat any other team in the eight beside the two favourites, the Storm and the Roosters.

Completely agree. FWIW, i don't see Souths as contenders this season. We've had a reasonably soft draw up until now and will face some testing fixtures in the next month.

WE haven't played Melbourne yet, their the yard stick, I thought Souths caught the Roosters by surprise when they beat them in the first round, so Souths, in my opinion, are about third placed overall.
Bennett may be able to change all that over the remaining six games (? maybe seven?), we got a great set of forwards now and Roberts with Burns in the backs is brilliant. And Johnston brings a lot of spark , really improved his defence has Johnston.

So, in my opinion we got a chance, on G final day anything can happen.

What does 'FWIW' mean.

GI sends Roberts away for his first NRL try: https://www.rabbitohs.com.au/news/2019/08/01/gi-sends-roberts-away-for-his-first-nrl-try/

Rabbitohs visit Prince of Wales Hospital for Donate Life Week: https://www.rabbitohs.com.au/news/2...rince-of-wales-hospital-for-donate-life-week/

Also, Gags is in some doubt for this one. Sounds like he may have been concussed against the Dragons and hasn't trained all week. Obviously, head injuries are not to be messed with so we need to be careful with him.

Late Mail - Gagai in doubt: https://www.nrl.com/news/2019/01/23/casualty-ward--late-mail-all-the-latest-nrl-injury-news/

Coaches Media Round 20: https://www.rabbitohs.com.au/news/2019/08/02/live-coaches-media-round-20/

So Sam is good to go which is brilliant!! Still no word on Gagai yet.

Bennett and Rabbitohs building towards another Grand Final: https://www.rabbitohs.com.au/news/2...bbitohs-building-towards-another-grand-final/

In my opinion, it's waaay too early to start thinking about us in a Grand Final. Yes, we are contenders and can do it but there is still such a long way to go. We're not playing the greatest currently either so I believe we can't afford to not take it one day at a time.

It's finally that time of the week again, Game Day!!! I must say, and I dunno if I'm the only one, but I'm feeling a little nervous about this one. Cronulla are one of those team who have hugely underperformed lately and tonight might just be the night they put in a big game. They have star players like Graham and Moylan back and are full strength for the first time in a while. I also think that on their day, they are capable of being a top four team and playing them at home ain't gonna be easy.

In saying that, we get Sam and Knight back which will be huge and I guess we have underperformed lately too. We can certainly beat them and these are the kind of games we need to win but no doubt we're gonna have to be on our game. The Sharks are playing for their Season so cannot be disrespected and we will certainly need to be on song. We need to complete highly and try to not get dragged into a real grind. The other top four teams have flexed their muscle this Round, hopefully we can flex a bit of ours. Can't wait!!

3-5 across the last 8 games at a PD of -12.
The top 4 spot is seriously under threat and with Melbourne, Canterbury, Brisbane and Easts to come, i find it hard to believe that we'll hang on.
