    2nd Ashes Test: Australia v England D/N @ Adelaide 16-20, 2021

Warner is in for a tough trot anyway next year with all the away test matches, could be 9 of them. Truth be told though, who else is going to come in? May as well just stick with Warner.

    2nd Ashes Test: Australia v England D/N @ Adelaide 16-20, 2021

I don’t think it’s a decline, as you mentioned it’s the lack of red ball & even ODI cricket. In 2020 he averaged 62 in ODI’s, this year has only been T20’s which he’s never been great in.

    2nd Ashes Test: Australia v England D/N @ Adelaide 16-20, 2021

Sydney doesn’t spin like it used to, but if we’ve won the series by then it could be a chance to debut Swepson. Especially if Green is bowling well.

    2nd Ashes Test: Australia v England D/N @ Adelaide 16-20, 2021

I think he’s a really special bowler, and importantly he offers variation to Cummins & Hazlewood. It’s just a matter of time until he takes Starc’s spot.

    2nd Ashes Test: Australia v England D/N @ Adelaide 16-20, 2021

The conditions must suit him in shield a lot, average of 21 with a strike rate of 48. Richardson also bowls at 140kmh, the difference is he doesn’t get the bounce the taller guys get, it’s not the speed. Tbh I always think it’s a mistake judging matches in isolation.

Neser is a swing bowler, too. Quite similar to Richardson.

    2nd Ashes Test: Australia v England D/N @ Adelaide 16-20, 2021

I‘m definitely aware of his flaws, but the thing is we don’t have many great options. I mean, that’s why Harris is in the team. Hunt looks promising, hopefully he continues to improve.

    1st Ashes Test: Australia v England @ Gabba Dec 8-12, 2021

    Wicket averages for the match Cummins 7 @ 12 Lyon 4 @ 28 Green 3 @ 9 Hazlewood 3 @ 25 Starc 3 @ 37

    2nd Ashes Test: Australia v England D/N @ Adelaide 16-20, 2021

Well, I try not to judge off matches in isolation. Khawaja has been in good form and he’s played well as an opener in the past. The alternative is putting a rookie like Hunt or Street with a struggling Harris. I’m not a fan of that option.

    2nd Ashes Test: Australia v England D/N @ Adelaide 16-20, 2021

If Warner is out you pretty much have to go Khawaja I guess. Only concern is Usman hasn’t opened much in recent years. Hunt the other option. I‘d go with Richardson if Hazlewood cant back up. He’s clearly the next best, been on fire this summer as well. To me if Starc doesn’t perform this test...

    2nd Ashes Test: Australia v England D/N @ Adelaide 16-20, 2021

Richardson over Neser, better bowling stats across the board. They’re quite similar bowlers as well.

    1st Ashes Test: Australia v England @ Gabba Dec 8-12, 2021

Cameron Green’s bowling is looking much better this summer, bowling through the crease with a little more pace.

    1st Ashes Test: Australia v England @ Gabba Dec 8-12, 2021

I would‘ve had Okeefe in front of Lyon, but really they were the only two options. We’ve failed to produce decent spinners for ages now. Fwiw Lyon does average a tick below 30 overseas. Finally we have another option on Swepson, he’s been bowling well the last 2-3 years. Hopefully his time is...

    1st Ashes Test: Australia v England @ Gabba Dec 8-12, 2021

Off spin has traditionally been a thankless task in Australia, not even Murali or Ashwin averaged below 30 here. Lyon‘s career hasn’t been too bad, it’s just that he’s a one trick pony. If he isn’t getting nice flight on the ball then he’s totally impotent.

    1st Ashes Test: Australia v England @ Gabba Dec 8-12, 2021

O’Keefe wasn’t favoured even before his off field problems. He clearly had the best FC record of any spinner in Australia during the last 10 years. But I think the real scandal has been the failure to produce a leg spinner post the Warne years.

    1st Ashes Test: Australia v England @ Gabba Dec 8-12, 2021

I’d love to see Starc dropped, but there’s almost no chance with a pink ball test next. Also think Jhye Richardson should be the next one in, he’s a slightly better than Neser. But both offer variation to Cummins & Hazlewood’s seam bowling.

    1st Ashes Test: Australia v England @ Gabba Dec 8-12, 2021

Shades of our second innings bowling problems last season, it even stretches back a bit further. Unless they step up tomorrow there needs to be a change or two to this bowling lineup soon.

    New stadium - 2025

Yeah but that was in terms of an end being open, I’m purely referring to corporate boxes all being on the same side of the field. Which is actually the case is Townsville as well. They do it to keep the costs down.

    New stadium - 2025

I’d say we’ll see a similar design to Bankwest in terms of the corporate seats all being on the same side of the field, it keeps costs down with less kitchens needed. This would see a lot of members shifted to the eastern side.

The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

Could be I guess. Not going to complain if it’s 30k, though.
