    Magic Weekend 2019 - Suncorp

How would it weaken crowds by giving Brisbane the same amount of home games as everyone else? By doing this it appears more a concerted move to inflate crowds as much as possible at the expense of non QLD teams having to 'host' in Brisbane. Home teams for this should be Broncos, NQ, Titans as a...

    Magic Weekend 2019 - Suncorp

Can't bump up the crowd averages in this initiative by diluting one of the games with a bankable Broncos fixture!

    2018 Crowd Watch

As Sydney RL crowds go, tonight was a great result. Should be the norm for Sydney finals games with two local teams.

Collingwood play Richmond with a near sellout 95k+ next door to storm. The interest and ticket sales will impact some as much as you’d hope it wouldn’t, that’s the reality.

    2018 Crowd Watch

As much as it shouldn’t, the outcome of tomorrow’s AFL game will go a long way to determining the probable storm crowd.

    2018 Crowd Watch

Spot on. It should be every club's priority to leverage from successful periods and turn the casual fan into a more engaged attendee and drive crowds, membership and revenues. You are always going to get ebbs and flows in these areas depending on team success, but it's those that capitalize when...

Where were they last weekend? And for the other games in 2017 and 2018? Jumped off the bandwagon?

    2018 Crowd Watch

Fox sports and NRL website reporting Storm has the Friday prelim and Roosters Saturday, with NRLW games on before each game.

    2018 Crowd Watch

Unfortunately if this weeks AFL Saturday game goes to the way it is expected, the storm game will be up against a massive crowd and build up. It would be a shame as the Storm deserve to be given some clear air and generate some buzz on their own, and the NRL have failed in this area when they...

    2018 Crowd Watch

I Can't win a argument with poor trolls mate. We didn't get the crowd we wanted but we know the influences on that. Hopefully we can get the Sharks in the prelim, for the building rivalry and often close games we have with them, to build a good crowd. But with an MCG Final on at the same time...

    2018 Crowd Watch

These trolling comments aren’t creative enough to be effective. Lift your game fellas, your attempts are as feeble as Sydney’s attempts to get a regular crowd above 25k :)

Sydney’s infrastructure is what it is. We hear about troubles in getting there and that may well be true. The game needs to grow its attraction to draw those people umming and ahhing into regular attendees. Melbourne is lucky to have central sports infrastructure so no need to gloat, Sydney...

    2018 Crowd Watch

Memberships are important in sustainability of clubs and ways to engage with supporters. The steady growth is important to maintain and over time we will see an improvement in crowds with the growth in memberships, especially with new/upgrades stadiums. Won’t happen overnight but heading in the...

    2018 Crowd Watch

Carlton are not giving any away, they are giving free upgrades to their 2018 members for next year as a reward for supporting a team who were worse than shit. Fair play to them I reckon. The rest of your post is gibberish as usual

That’ll make any investment in ANZ reconfiguration worthwhile... Like it or not there will be plenty of games at ANZ, just need the fixturing, clubs and marketing to work to improve the attraction of going there.

    AFL winning the PR war

That's the short sighted approach to expansion. The Swans had horrible crowd and exposure numbers 20-25 years ago but have now built up to a respectable base support for a secondary code in the city. Expansion is a 20 year commitment and too often sporting codes will expect too much too early...

Sharks cap superthread - latest: NRL clears Flanagan to assistant coach from 2020

It's definitely not a 'move on' scenario but if recent updates suggest the severity is not as bad as first thought, then the hysteria should be nipped in the bud a bit. Adequate investigation and punishments, if any, should be dealt out based on the facts, not media inflammation.

Both Sydney teams will be playing each other at the SCG so no impact on the NRL finals
