    Welcome to the comp, Redcliffe.

True and may it stay that way....though they did try it with the academy teams.

    Welcome to the comp, Redcliffe.

Taking the above comments re Norths and Manly and the North Shore how would a similar situation go with one Hull team in the UK, according to GROTD after 20 Odd years people will not have grown up with two clubs and league will be the winner, no Aussie Rules to drift off to follow.

    Welcome to the comp, Redcliffe.

As you know News Corp own RL now, they have zero interest in Perth or Adelaide otherwise a team would be in already. Maybe you should inform them of the error of their ways. But dont worry NZ#2 will be NRL team no. 18.

    Welcome to the comp, Redcliffe.

In 2018 Sydney games averaged 13,509 to 90 games compared to 16,804 for out of Sydney games to 102 games, this is an average of 14,865 if the Broncos are taken out. Hardly a massive difference. This is not the issue because if it is based on crowds league would get half the money it gets, it...

    Welcome to the comp, Redcliffe.

It was an off the cuff remark re AFL. The fact is people are doing other things then watching and devoting themselves to league as they once did. Maybe after 20 Years of destroying the games image and creating a negative perception of the game, news corp achieved what they wanted.

    Welcome to the comp, Redcliffe.

I also said they now do something else on weekends because they arent going down to Manly to watch RL....they just arent interested in RL. The market RL won over during the Tina Turner years has now gone, the market that followed a sport because it was the 'in' game.

    Welcome to the comp, Redcliffe.

Yes they may not have an emotional attachment to a team they haven't seen but their parents did and they now follow AFL and take their kids to the SCG or go and do something else on weekends. I guess it seemed logical on paper😳😳

RL can but is controlled by NRL and Broadcasters in Australia unlike the other sports who are ruled by world wide body.

The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

Great....will be called the Fitzsimmons Cof E, just for our old mate Fitzy. He will be proud as punch at the ribbon cutting for the opening.

    WA BEARS

Why would they invite 4 clubs in to send them broke.

    WA BEARS

I assume you forgot we had a team in Perth in 1995, they would now be playing their 28th season had it not been for Super League. You know they were invited in by that Sydney-centric administration that also invited Nth Qld, Canberra, Illawarra, Gold Coast, Newcastle, Auckland, Sth Qld and...

Mate if you think a national comp could have come off the back of the local brissy comp you are dead set deluded. Most clubs struggled to pull 5k.

    2023-2028 next tv deal discussion

It could be true after all it would need a giant offer to get AFL off Foxtel.

    Absolute nonsense....

    WA BEARS

On paper it may seem logical like that but in reality it doesnt. So they just choose not to follow RL.
